Hello, this is Choi Sung-woon. Today, we have a very special guest: actor Yoo Tae-oh.
I remember being shocked when I first saw him in the film "Leto" in 2019. "Where did this guy come from? Why hasn't he been known until now?" And it seemed everyone else felt the same way, and since then, Tae-oh has been building his own unique and extraordinary career.
From the beautiful anecdote with his wife, writer Nikki Lee, to the fact that he became the first Korean actor to be nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Actor for his role in "Fast Lives," there are countless ways to describe him, but above all, I saw in him an aura that only someone who has gone through extensive thought and introspection can possess. And I was deeply grateful and delighted to be able to glimpse, even briefly, into that source through this thought experiment interview.
From his childhood in Germany, to his acting studies in New York and London, and even a monologue from Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar," this episode is packed full of details. I hope you enjoy it. Please like and comment!
