I built the handheld computer I've always wanted. It can do everything a desktop PC can, but in a tiny package. This system is built around a LattePanda Mu SBC, and features a full QWERTY keyboard, joystick mouse, scroll wheel and trigger buttons. It's got a gorgeous 7" screen and custom USBC battery system, along with some other cool features.

"I decided to use a joystick from a Nintendo Joy-Con"
(15 minutes later)
"The joystick kept drifting."

I actually laughed at the Opera sponce, I'm just conditioned to say "thanks PCB way" when I watch custom maker vids

I'm not dialed in this community. So as an uninitiated, this seemed like pure sorcery.

When choosing an EDP display, just make sure it isnt an EDP445

My science teacher had a windows xp tablet in 2004, I couldn't believe it. At home my xp computer weighed half a ton.

The thumb scroll wheel on the blackberry was one of the nicest human computer interfaces I’ve ever used; scrolling up and down lists, clicking it to select. Just fit in your hand and thumb perfectly.

I love that you're showing the failures along the way instead of just the end solutions, cool stuff this was a lot of work

9:42 I bursted into uncontrollable laughter right here, at first because I was waiting for some crazy wall to hit because of course I want to take this on myself. Then I realized this goat has already done all the R&D for us & my fake joy immediately parted me. Sigh. Carry on.

I feel like I am watching DYI Perks in early days of that channel. Amazement on the edge of incredulity. Incredible projects and a willingness to slog thru the not fun parts. RARE!!

2:29 If we're being picky about it, the real disqualification isn't windows, it's that its primary display isn't a VR headset, or if you want to be really hardcore, a brain-computer interface.

Your channel deserves so much more attention. Nicely done!

JUST wanted to remind you about the usb-c taps that select a fixed dc voltage from any power brick. Power bricks are nice because they include their own charging and display mechanisms. the tap has dip switches, so you can select 5,9,12 or 15 volts.
