Great video, thanks! I've been looking at Elche lately. I don't need to be right on the beach/coast and the city has a very strong Spanish character. I speak Spanish well (16 years living in Mexico) so I think I could find community there and the vibe seems great. The other city that draws my attention is Alicante. I will have to come explore. 🙂

We chose Calpe of all the options listed. We like the high rise buildings but not the party atmosphere of Benidorm. Morairas promenade is too short and there’s not enough beach or beautiful high rise buildings. Altea has a better promenade than Moraira but has stone beaches. Jávea and Denia are far too similar to one another and have nothing distinctive about either town such as the Penon de Ifach. Calpe has two completely different beaches on either side of the rock, La Fossa and Arenal Bol. Calpe has a lux feeling downtown area, two marinas and plenty of great hotel resorts such as Gran Sol y Mar. For our USA guests, there is a McDonald’s, KFC, Burger King and Popeyes. Moraira or Altea do not have American Franchises for when our guests arrive. The beauty of Calpe’s skyline is something Altea, Moraira, Jávea or Denia will ever have, you cannot compete with modern hi-rise towers or the 350 meter peñón. Only Benidorm has a better skyline than Calpe. We visit all the aforementioned towns when in the area, and can’t wait to get back to our lux hi-rise condo in Calpe! Best decision ever
