I love using pastels and your use of colors to accent inspire me! Gorgeous!

Hullo Emma, A Wonderful tutorial and an amazing view to your content available in your Patreon as well as your website! thank you for sharing this with all of us here on YouTube!

Thanks so much it looks so beautiful 🤩

I'm watching this tutorial again... I'm really keen to paint along as an exercise in speading up my process. A small painting like this takes me very long...I might break it up over 4 or 5 days. I still need to get braver in my lower layers.

Thank you, Emma!

Wonderful video! Thankyou so much!❤

Lovely 😍

To say that I am in awe of this would be such an understatement. There was so many take always from the full length video too. Loved how you achieved the black and white without using black or white and envy your skill with the sticks even for the fine details. I am an amateur enthusiast and a novice to boot. I have had more progress with coloured pencil than soft pastel but ideally would like to paint with pastels as a primary medium. I am from South Africa and have focused mostly on African wildlife (leopards are my favourite animal although I love elephants as a subject). Keen to try landscape as well. Your content is just amazing (and forgive me for saying so, but the Irish accent is a bonus). I took a deep breath and bought some pastelmat (but have been too scared to commit just any subject to it yet). But I have really been inspired by this, and your full length sunset on Dunluce Castle so am now chomping at the bit to experiment. Thanks for the great content and super advice. Regards, Gordon

Thank you for an excellent lesson in pastels, you really have a great talent and I feel inspired to have a go. It has been some years since I did anything arty.

I love your tutorial for parrots. It should be great a tutorial for an African Gray. It Is a difficult subject because it is almost an only grey painting

Loved this picture and your process.  Mine is framed and on my wall.. I'll be adding you on patrion 😊

I don't know if I feel confident enough yet to try to paint this but I am going to watch it all anyway
10:10 funny enough when you said that there were dogs barking on my street and I was confused lol

Seria fantàstico si  accedieran a subtìtulos en español. Gracias.

Beautiful work! What do use to tape your paper up? Do the edges ever tear when you remove it?
