I always felt isolated whenever my white friends said they wanted to live in times like the 50s and 60s. I thought maybe I was missing the plot, but I’m glad I stayed true to not romanticizing a time built on oppression and exclusion. Fabulous video as usual Queen 👑🫶🏾

A lot of men and women in leadership are insecure, have bad responsibility, are accusatory, have bad interpersonal skills (hyper judgemental/non constructive), bad at explaining information and spiteful. They're living in their heads.

I watch a lot of videos of people who like to dress and have homes styled as the past. They always say that it's the style not the values that they appreciate.
99% don't want to live in the past, they just enjoy the nice clothes and the technology but not the open prejudice and cruelty of the past.

Thank you for the thoughtful commentary on nostalgia and the growing racism/facism in this country. Loneliness can be dangerous, especially depending on how those try to find community and what community they look for.

I had a job interview last week. It was a panel interview and all the interviewers wrre white and the other candidates were white too. I knew I wasnt gonna get the positon, but i still tried. I got the rejection email today lol.

Speaking on nostalgia it's weird being a young black film fan and watching popular "older" movies from the "glory days" of movies with white protagonist and thinking "oh... that's it?"

We've been coddled our whole lives by the media and the govt. So equality to a large portion of us doesn't mean everybody being treated equally but normalizing whyte supremacy. It really pains me to see so many young men in an arrested development regarding emotional intelligence. In my younger years I was selfish and not a nice person. Always had to be the center of attention and sometimes it attracted the wrong ppl. One day no one would answer my texts or calls and I was given the greatest gift of all, introspective. We're supposed to grow as individuals and the current administration knows that which is why they're using nostalgia and bigotry to target certain demographics
