1:08:11 im an electrician there is no way in fkkn hell it cost 8K to install no matter how hard it is to run. They're either getting ripped off, lying, or charging so much so that the people say no because the electrician doesn't want to do it.
Commit this to memory: Cars should be a convenience, not a burden. If your car causes you any stress at all, financially, mentally, professionally...you chose poorly.
Interesting.. as an Hyundai EV owner, I did all my research before purchasing. I can charge at Tesla without issue if I want to. Haven't had a single issue with charging. It takes 15 minutes to charge to 80% at most charging stations. I also own a regular gas Honda as my "fun" car. I was an EV hater until I did my research. They have their pros and cons but I enjoy mine. And I also enjoy throwing gas in my 6 speed accord and having a good time
People crashing out over EVs - tell me you haven't done ANY RESEARCH at all without saying "I didn't do any research and just thought 'cool it's EV'" - people are idiots.
Charging a battery any kind of battery is like filling a stadium of people. When you get to 80% it's harder for those random people to find random empty seats in the stadium as quickly. Same thing with electrons in a battery. So as the stadium fills up or the battery fills up it takes longer for those electrons to find a spot because they don't fill sequentially
I recall when I was an apprentice automotive mechanic about 1990, and the owner of that Chevron repair shop, still owned a basic truck with NO EXTRAS, including no auto windows, no nothing! He told me, that all that stuff is a waste of money, (even though he could afford to fix it himself) he said it's only more to fix! So I learned that to be sooooo true early on! I still drive an older basic 2004 Celica that I can still fix myself!
@3:18 dont forget 1 huge factor in this is that they are specialty. You cant just take a tesla, ford mach E or lightning into any mom & pop service shop and expect them to be able to fix it. Your looking at dealer services or specialty electric shops for any major diag or repair of the electrical systems.
All of these people deserve their remorse. They're all buying or continuing to buy against basic research they should be doing for their purchases. And instead of wising up, they'll go online and complain about it in their own videos on their own channels.
