Little story about Travis. Back in the day he lived in Norco, Calif. Blink182 was huge at the time, and my daughter was a big fan. I found out where he lived , and on the way to the beach that day with my family, I decided to cruise by his pad. My daughter had no idea what was up. Sure enough as we get close to his house I point to the house and tell her who lives there, of course, she thinks I'm BSing her. Well the stars must have been alignment that day because guess who comes out of a side gate...Yes Travis himself. He had his Rottweiler with him and they were about to go for a walk. My daughter begins to shit little green heliopters because she can't believe what she is seeing. She was about 13 at the time. I called out to Travis, apologized to him for any bother, and asked if he could just say hello to my daughter, a huge fan. Thinking he would tell me to fuck off, I crossed my fingers hoping for the best. He smiled and came right over said hello, signed his name onto a napkin ( we didn't have any paper) with a message to her. We told him that we also resided in Norco, and at the time also had a Rottweiler. So we talked about our dogs for a bit. He was Awesome, gracious, a gentleman, humble to a fault. He actually took the time to speak to me and my family, WOW. From that day on we have been loyal Travis Barker fans. My daughter, now 30 , still has the napkin, framed, hanging on a wall at her home. Travis is a great musician, but a much, much greater human being. Thank you Travis.
Travis Barker looks like the nicest fcking dude. Seems like a genuine, humble, person, who has dealt with a lot of sht. Clearly making him grow as a human being.
He fucking survived a plane crash, that's crazy that he's still in such a good shape and still doing what he loves. He's one of the realest person to exist, if that even means anything
My dad was one of Travis's nurses in the burn unit when he got into that plane wreck, he was super cool and signed a old snare head for me and sent me sticks for my birthday the following year. Wish i got the chance to meet him he's a naturally humble dude.
