The chainsaw also aggros commons around you from the loud noise, helps clear out areas faster

that boomer playermodel would throw me off so often lmao

A very specific versus niche for the silenced SMG. The outlines the infected get are based on noise the survivors make. Footsteps and gunfire all make survivors emit the glow for infected and all gunfire makes you glow for the same amount of time with exception of the silenced SMG which fades very quickly in comparison. If they need to turtle in the same room as other survivors you can screw up any reflex based plans the infected may have trying to dive into a room and getting shot by someone they didn't expect to be there, before they disappear faster than the remaining infected will take to react to the kill. That's a very particular spanner you can throw into the very meta defined gamemode if the upcoming terrain isn't predictable like known charger spots.

I never knew charger arm was a weak point!

5:42 "whats wrong with you?... why are you purple?" -Bill to Francis probably

Thank you for showing love to the "non-meta" weapons!
2:52 It actually goes down to 50 health, so the AK & Magnum one-shots it too.
3:38 Jockeys (and Spitters/Chargers) take x1.25 more damage to their right arm, so the Scout can still take him down in 3 shots.
4:54 The body multiplier for the Witch is x0.5 on Expert, and x0.25 on Realism Expert.
7:30 IIRC Chainsaws do not spawn on the fourth chapter of Dark Carnival. They do on the third chapter, but it is not a guaranteed spawn and it is before the coaster. So someone intending to use the Chainsaw for the Barns event has to really save it.

Chainsaws also grant the user 50% damage resistance to Commons while the user is attacking, which is great for gauntlets.

8:00 The tank rock has blood! It's a funny quirk of the projectiles in this game in some circumstances where you hit them. All thrown projectiles will spray blood on your face if you shoot them and the chainsaw produces proper blood sprays and effects as if you're sawing an infected, this can be seen with the thrown pipebomb most easily.

I think if you're going to talk about the mounted guns, it'd probably be better as a finale focused video rather than a video on the mounted gun.

For mounted guns, there is this mechanic where the Tank will always target the player on the mounted gun no matter what, so there is this niche use where you can get on one to make the Tank target you to save a teammate who is being targeted.

From what I’ve heard at least, the Pitchfork is meant to make melee skeeting Hunters and Jockeys easier.

But at that point, just practice skeeting with the regular melees and not have to worry about the forks terrible upswing on hordes.

The chainsaw also has an even more niche use: the engine noise from it just being deployed attracts commons from decently far away. At the start of a chapter you can use it to drag every common nearby to the safe room door and clear them out for a safer exit. I found it especially useful in the Yama campaign.

The Scout is my spirit animal

As they are currently, I've always liked to think that the bolt action snipers were the Tier 1 of the snipers since that class of weapons doesn't really have a proper T1 and because of their drawbacks compared to the firing capabilities of the Hunting Rifle and Military Sniper. That being said, I think they could've benefitted greatly from a damage increase to trade off for the slower bolt action movements between shots, that way the tradeoff is that they're slower but have better stopping power.

SCAR user here. That can be really helpful for prio killing Special Infected.

I act like as a main support in the game, scouting for the SI, or protecting allies while a horde is ongoing.

Something to note about the grenade launcher: You can place special ammo down, shoot the grenade launcher, use the special ammo and immediately shoot the grenade launcher again.
Explosive bullets on shotguns actually have a niche use: It converges all the damage into 1 pellet, making it so you can do long range damage with a shotgun.

10:18 people don’t get this in-game. I’ve had grown men yell at me on ADVANCED for trying the gernade launcher like if it’s a bad gun they wouldn’t have added it to the game 😅

There's a less know property of the grenade launcher that didn't get mentioned here but it's fine because it's highly situational

Usually fire rounds will light a tank on fire for a brief period of time. EXCEPT a fire round from a grenade launcher that gets a direct (not AoE) hit. In that case the tank will be on fire for the remaining of his life

The trick to the chainsaw is to not forget your right click shoves. You can shove while revving it up, and if you are using it and you notice a horizontal line of zombies (meaning some of them are going to get around the saw blade, shove them.

The chainsaw is super underrated imo. It’s honestly the only thing that usually gets me past that one Cold Stream section.
