Be careful that there are players, often the saltiest players in your group, that will use "boring" as an analogue for "effective" or "beat me a turn before I could win"

My favorite tribe: merefolk. Not only are the they folk, they're merely folk.

Thank you for the video, I have been brewing a deck for a while and was close to getting it. The last point really helped me to get the deck into a spot that will add a lot of replayability for me.

This is great advice. I just watched a Really Bad At MTG video about being the arch enemy at the table. I’d love to hear your take on that topic in a future video!

You know, Transendent message was my first thought for tapping the merfolk for a bonus.
Love the video, have really been enjoying these "chats"

This video is making me rethink my decks honestly, crazy good video

Really great video (again)! I also love cards like "Desperate Gambit" - me and one player left, he will end me next turn, but I attack with my 11/11 commander, cast this AND ... dont miss the next episode of "Will He Win"?

Something I thought could be unique would be a sunburst deck that was led by omnath locus of the void. That way unsued colors could linger around to get filtered when you need it

Bible Study and MTG? How do i join your commander pod lol. This is peak

A good "reverse" plan for your myrfolk tokens, powered up by Coat of Arms, could be Altar of Dementia. Winning with Mill, in blue, is in flavor, and pretty easy to do when you got an army of 20/20 fish people ready to be sacrificed to the deepfrier.

I have been learning that too many of my decks lean to heavily on the commander and stagnate when I can't keep them on the board. I have been trying to tune some of my decks to have at least 2 "secondary commanders". Creatures or enchantments that can help my deck build a win line if my commander isn't around. It's made some of them play more unpredictable and I would say more interesting for sure.

This reminds me of how I build a lot of my decks. I call it having an "A-plot" and a "B-plot," sort of like how older TV shows would tell two stories in one episode. Some of my favorite decks have multiple strategies in order to get to a win. That way, if I don't draw into one strategy, I hopefully find the other. It makes my decks play a bit differently every time. It can actually help me win more in the long term too because there's no single gimmick for my pod to counter.

I can't wait for the next video because I have 4 decks on Moxfield that have 120+ cards in it and I don't want to cut any more lol i'm stuck!

When I first started playing (basically precons) and before I knew what the bracket system was, a friend in our group played a bracket 3-ish Kathril. We were all a little frustrated at that deck 😅

Thank you for the prayer. Amen 🙏

Variance is inherently exciting and seeing someone take a risk is usually pretty fun and cool. Whimsy is my motivation to play the format and I love to see people lean into it

Got baited by wanting to learn about mirrorfolk tribal, stayed for the rest, great video as always

What is "boring" is subjective, so you can only make your deck not boring for yourself.

Hakbal or Kumena are commanders for Merfolk decks I personally enjoy.

Love ur content man
