We’ve taken our motorhome back into Switzerland… but this time we’ve got NOTHING booked!
With campsites around Lake Lucerne looking full, temperatures soaring and no idea where we’re going to stay, we cross the border from France into Switzerland and hope we can find somewhere to park Elvis for the night.
We explore beautiful Lucerne, Switzerland, try some proper Swiss food and chocolate, then take on the incredible Mount Pilatus Golden Round Trip — travelling by boat across Lake Lucerne, riding the world’s steepest cogwheel railway up Mount Pilatus, exploring the mountain, riding the gondolas back down and even squeezing in the summer toboggan run.
We also show you a bit of what it’s actually like travelling Switzerland in a motorhome, including motorhome parking near Lucerne, the Swiss motorway vignette, roaming/mobile data in Switzerland, prices and what the Mount Pilatus trip costs.
