Football having commercials breaks is only an American thing thank god! We don’t have those in the uk!

An official American "football" game lasts 60 minutes, divided into four 15-minute quarters. However, the actual playing time with the ball in play is only about 11 minutes, while the remainder of the approximately three-hour broadcast is taken up by timeouts, TV commercials, and team changes.

It's worth noting that we also have the European Cup every 4 years, staggered between the World Cup. The European Cup (other football regions have their own version) happens 2 years after the World Cup and follows the same format as the WC but just for European teams.

This means that all footballing nations are always playing qualifying matches for one or the other of these international tournaments, resulting in a big tournament every 2 years. Only having the WC every 4 years (like the Olympics) is what makes it so special and hard to win.

in the 2022 wc the final was between france and argentina, i suggest watching the highlights from that game as its considered the best wc final in history, i do think argentina have a chance to make it to the final but they arent as strong as they were in 2022. They barely got past cape verde and egypt so as soon as they face a stronger more organised team (probably england in the semi final) they might struggle

12:57 France is in the semifinal that means France has been in the top 4 in 2018,2022 and 2026

1:49 because the qualifying takes a long time, so regional tournaments that will decide representatives for each continent can have plenty of time and the players can prepare. A World Cup every year doesn't make sense, it would rushed af and the players would get no rest, because club leagues would be happening at the same time as their training for WC.

Pleas say Soccer, its the short for association fotball in USA, so people know that you dont talking about "American" football!
Anyway.. Olympics is only every 4e year.. its this with world tournaments, it takes a long time to qualify, a lot of money, to prepair and/or build sports arenas, infrastructur, to be able to host such big events!
Wait there is more to it, inbetween WC, there is national competitions in every football/soccer confederation between national teams and champion league competition between clubs!

Its really hard to watch this video as a person from EU. Like its not your fault to be so narrow minded, its just US people in general i guess.

In Spain we will call American football, mumbojumbo, we will be mostly irrelevant at that sport, and when you try to correct me I'll just say, it's how we call it and it's what it is... Not even English speaking countries call it soccer, just you lol

@Owliax 2 months ago

We have the best of the best then we have Messi who is not I admit he's is good but not star quality good not anymore not even among the 60 best players anymore
