Cambodia is unhappy! Naturalized athletes are accused of faking it, resulting in zero gold medals, and ultimately, a complete failure. Comments from Cambodia:

The ASEAN Games in Japan are over. Besides Vietnam, which competed with Thailand for the most gold medals in the SEA Games, there's another country that used to be the gold medal champion when they hosted, and then crammed in a lot of traditional sports, prioritizing quantity over quality. They did whatever it took to win the gold medal, even using naturalized athletes as temporary Cambodian nationals. That country is Cambodia. This time, the former gold medalist found that when competing in the outside world without traditional sports, Cambodia was just a decorative element. Cambodia won 4 bronze medals and 0 gold. The bronze medals came from women's tekkball (2), MMA (1), and karate (1). Are there any naturalized athletes? Yes, but not many. Cambodia's highest hope was the triathletes who naturalized from France, but it seems those naturalized athletes were faking it, as none of them won any medals.
