In my last video, I headed into the backroads of British Columbia, explored new areas, found some fantastic campsites, and generally enjoyed a bit of time on the road before heading to the Canadian Rockies.
In this video, the journey continues as I make my way through the backroads of BC and Alberta, still searching for new places to photograph along the way. The autumn colour is looking fantastic, but as is often the case with landscape photography, good conditions don’t necessarily mean good photographs. Strong winds make things particularly challenging and at times it’s difficult to find anything that really inspires me.
After a couple more days exploring on my own, I eventually make my way to Calgary to pick up my good friend and fellow photographer Paul Thomson. From there we head back into the Rockies ahead of our upcoming photography tour.
Thankfully, for the final evening and morning of the trip, things start to come together. The wind settles, the light improves, and we’re treated to some lovely conditions amongst the autumn colour.
A bit of exploring, a lot of driving, some great camping and, eventually, some photography that makes all those miles worthwhile.
Thanks as always for watching, and I hope you enjoy coming along for the ride.
