While the Rode Podmic is more expensive I still think it wins 100% of the time. It easily rivals XLR mics at the same price point

Thank you for making this! Currently looking at mics to upgrade my audio for steaming

Ngl was expecting more from Shure, but to me it sounded more nasally and at times airy; Senheiser too seems like it felt it need more boom or bass to sound better; big props to Fifine and Razer for price to sound performance from what I heard in this video and Samsung and Rode are def tops picks to me. Amazing video!

Thanks for the video! Don't forget the well reviewed SE Electronics Neom and the Austrian Audio MiCreator Studio. Maybe you can review them next

The Samson Q2U changed price since it changed from an mini USB to a USB-C port... I bought it some years ago for 45!

I had the MV6, but the rode white version was on sale for 183 on Amazon and I purchased it. After comparing the too, I definitely liked the rode mic more. But I enjoyed the mv6 while I had it.

Thanks for the info. More strong evidence for me to try the 668. I'll likely weld a little stand up out of steel scraps and see how that goes before I spend money on an arm. My desk is packed and I want to build a new one. 66 x 80 if the tower goes underneath, 90 if the tower stays topside like it is now. I need to draw this thing out and see what hardwood slabs are going to cost. I'm tired of this pressboard glued together junk and certainly can't pay professional woodworker prices for a desk. But I've got a spare bedroom that might turn into a wood working shop this summer and plenty of tools.

Could you also do some tests for best wireless lavalier mics?

@BadgerLove 7 months ago (edited)

The Rhode mic in white is now £95 on amazon

@DiceDraftJordan 3 months ago (edited)

The Razer sounds incredible on the boom for that price 😮 😮 😮

Can you recommend a desktop stand? I really want to ditch my boom arm coz it's so ugly and untidy looking 😅 Or have you tried the Elgato Wave Neo, which seems to have a much taller stand included?
