Wario's Weird Transformations

Mario may be better known for all his different transformations, but Wario loves a different costume too. Well, not in the actual Mario games that is, but instead, his new forms all hail from the Wario Land series, which in general has a completely different outlook on how these forms are supposed to work.

Wario Land games always felt kind of like a Mad Magazine parody of Mario games.

I find it very ironic that Wario, who loves garlic, has a vampire transformation.

Vampire Wario also appeared as one of the true final bosses of Dr. Mario 64, along with being selectable in multiplayer after beating him, so I guess that was looked at as a kind of super form in some developers eyes.

There is a fire wario in mario land 2

Wario's main diet is garlic, which is extremely healthy, that and his intense daily workouts are why he's 99% muscle and can probably benchpress a planet

If only Mario could combine an ice flower and fire flower to make a room temperature flower...

I wish Super Smash Bros used more of these for his moveset than the Warioware games.

We need a new Wario Land game, maybe even including Wario Ware characters as cameos

To this day I still miss Wario Land...

Mario: Power-ups
Wario: Power-downs

@robbertlw9610 4 months ago

I think there’s a difference between a normal Power-UP (can be used by every character, even Wario) and ‘character-specific-Power-UP’s’ (like the Super Crown for Toadette or the Yoshi fruits)

7:43 Have you forgotten Mario’s zombie outfit in Odyssey with the axe lodged in his head?

@Thebibleforps2 4 months ago

0:52 there is fire Wario, since he uses the fire flower in his super Mario land 2 bossfight

@TheRealRELSAY 4 months ago

Wario really is just in a whole league of his own compared to the other Mario cast isn’t he?

Not Waluigi, who everyone loves to claim is soooooo misunderstood or a special lone wolf- Wario.

I remember how the official art of Zombie Wario in a Nintendo magazine with the bone sticking out of his knee was freaking me out as a kid, lol. Kinda bizarre if you think about it, since Nintendo character art was mostly pretty tame and cutesy.

Vampario is a sick as hell concept.

Idea: Wario games that are parodies of Mario games. Example: Wario Odyssey. Wario gets a Bonneter as his new hat, flys around in an airship, visits some of the kingdoms mario visited (but not exactly the same areas, so while many assets are reused, it is not the same layout) and has a boss fight at the end, probably against Captain Syrup. It is overall smaller than Odyssey, both the worlds and the number of worlds, but the main difference is that Wario does not get along with his hat at all and the hat makes him constantly capture enemies against his will and make everything harder that way. Wario Wonder is a bit harder to come up with, because the Wonder effects are already outside of Mario's control but the main thing would be that Wario's are sillier. And the only powerup he gets is elephant, because the others are too typically Mario.
