I remember my Dad randomly bringing Syphon Filter 3 home in 2001 or 2002, it was the first game in the series I played and I LOVED it.
I can appreciate your criticism of the game, but it'll forever have a special place in my heart.

Amazing video! Syphon Filter was one of the very first games I played as a child and I still play the series to this day.

I discovered this franchise back in 2012. I am glad I did and it is now up there with my top 10 favorite video game franchises. I know people who love video games as much as I do and they should play these games.

Omega Strain was definitely ahead of its time. The subsequent successes of create-a-character and unlocks, online co-op games, The Division, etc. since 2004 make it a shame that they haven't developed a new one, remastered it, or even just re-released it with online enabled. Not to mention the appearance of a viral pandemic in the real world.

I remember playing the demo of syphon filter 1 constantly and finally getting syphon filter 2 as my first full game and playing the hell out of it. Man I love this series.

To add to BuffGuy on Dark Mirror: the ps2 version doesn’t  have all the weapons the psp has. I only remember the m16a2, I believe it was that weapon, you were not able to get in the ps2 version

My Fav is The Omega Strain, and its way ahead of his time like RE:Outbreaks series, it came when the Online games on Console still in diapers, if it come in the right time, oh boy!

Love the rankings Liam! Pretty spot-on in my book. Recently got a new network adapter for my old PS2 and been playing TOS online again. So sick!! Hope to see you on there sometime 🤙🏼

i love The Omega Strain, without a doubt in my all time top 10. I think it wasn't popular because critics thought that third person shooter should use typical double analog control scheme (simmilar to logan shadow and dark mirror). What they miss was that that control scheme makes a core gameplay of the game so good - it's always a risk reward thing, you can be safe by using autoaim, and rolling everywhere, but you'll gonna waste so much ammo and time, you can try manual aim but that's risky. It's a core feature that gives you tremendous room to self imrovement, and well thought-out death mechanic grants weaker players chance to beat any mission without being amazing from the begining. Even infinite spawns serve purpose here, and are limited to certain sections. Par times are another great addition, testing your abilities. The only think that i don't like is that some things are blocked behind online (while they should add at least a way to play on splitscreen to complete multiplayer tasks), and earning new weapons can be incredible tedious.

Man, they really need to bring back this series for today's generation!

2hr syphon filter vid hell yeah! 🤘😄❤️‍🔥 Sf2 will always be one of the best games of all time imo, so much atmosphere and fun gameplay that holds up today. Hope we can get a new omega strain sequel someday too ^^
Glad to see we've at least gotten somewhat of a resurgence of the series being put on the ps+ catalog, hopefully sony will give bend a fair chance after days gone to make another game one of these days

one funny note about Mara's hair change is that in the cgi's of SF3 its blonde with red undertones

I remember being blown away by syphon filter, had some amazing levels and combat. Driver for ps1 and syphon filter gave me chills back then, brought something completely different I hadn't seen before! Great vid 👌

recommended this 5 years later. Loved the SF series.

As a Syphon Filter fan I really enjoyed this video, thanks a lot!

Sick review, bro. Syphon Filter deserves more videos like this with that much of a detail. Absolutely love this franchise, no matter what. I used to be first two games hardcore fan for a long time, especially when I had brought up the great memories in the beginning of 2016. Plot, voice acting, music, gameplay, everything! Tried The Omega Strain but this was pain in the ass back then without the decent controller, also this "Where is my Gabe Logan?" and blah-blah-blah shit, haha... I think you along with the SF Central community are responsible for me falling in love with TOS three years later. And I'm with you on your top three games. What I love the most about these top three games I play nowadays from time to time that there're always new things, glitches, whatever to discover and this is just amazing!!! This shit never gets old. And the fun fact, by the way, SF3 was the first game from the series I played, haha. And even being the worst in the entire franchise it got my interest so I went on playing SF2 and SF1 then. I think this is the marker!

Man i love this series

I started with the first game in 2011 or 2012 when i was a bit too young to know how to play properly

It was the 2 game i have ever finished, i still remember playing it on the ps1 in the original disc, so many memories...

I played the 2 and third game, a bit of omega strain but after syphon filter 3 it started go downhill for me

Any emulator i try to play the Psp games it crashes in the 1st mission

Love the series, great video man!!

Recently played through the entire series, I became an instant fan and I want more of this world & characters. Bend really had something here and I'd love to see a revival of this franchise.

A bitch version of agent 47 made me bust out laughing that was great lol
