Super Smash Bros. Ultimate brought the entire history of the series together under one roof...but sometimes forgot about the present. Today we're diving into some of the most obvious moves that don't exist in Smash but clearly should, either because they were left out of Ultimate, or are now set to appear in Smash 6 on the Switch 2. Let's go!

Thanks for watching everyone! This is obviously a very broad topic, Kirby hats alone could've filled the entire video up lol. Feel free to drop your suggestions, who knows, maybe there can be a part 2 at some point.

I'll take Ridley Tail Pogo for 800, Alex.

Edit: In terms of less obvious examples, I was genuinely really surprised Sora didn't have Strike Raid as a Special Move, I would have taken the Smash Flash route and move Sora's current Neutral-B to Down-B so you can replace his generic counter, then Strike Raid can be his Neutral-B.

Yeah Kirby getting Air Bullet as a Forward Air is something I've heavily considered, but with how important his current Forward Air is, I can see why you might be hesitant to replace that. The best solution I found was to rework Kirby's Neutral Air to work more like his current Forward Air so he still has something to fill that role.

idk how common this take is, but i don't think ryu should be modernized : on the contrary, since we have two street fighter reps, we should have ryu represent the old games, and ken the newer modern ones.
it would stretch the echo fighter schtick, but eh, that's a concept i think is quite disposable.

I would give bone rush to Lucario because it was fun to use in pokken, also to maybe give him more non projectile range

As a mario player, I think it would be cool to do the dive movie if you already have happy out as a small conditional burst option

You could make Kirby's air puff into a zair. It's not related to his grab, but it lets you keep all his previous moves while adding a new attack

Ganondorf’s entire moveset is missing from Smash. The float is the biggest example, should have been made his Up Special

7:00 Have you considered it being a ZAir though

it’s not a tether like the other ZAirs but it is another move slot you can use in the air

that dedede doesn’t have his hammer spin is so sad, it’s a signature part of his kit at this point and gives him a much needed approach option

It lowkey feels like Sakurai designed Ridley with hate in his heart

Zelda's Phantom could be re-themed around Echoes of Wisdom with basically no other changes and it would be great actually, though I guess Spirit Tracks fans would be sad?

9:45 I think Kazuya players would take exception with you saying Smash isn’t a single player game

@Luingear 3 months ago

I think the Kirby one could work as a z-air that you could use after spending a double jump. Maybe make it a little stronger the more you jump.

Ike sword beam is probably the move I want the most as well from here, even if they just made it work like Cloud’s blade beam, I’d be happy. And it would likely make Ike as least low-mid tier

I have a slight suspicion there’s going to be quite a few Zelda entries on this list

5:10 naru's love becomes nair instead no hit box or animation changes just added particles.

I notice that a lot of characters in Ult are made to play like one of the games they debuted earliest in. Mario/Falcon play like 64 characters, Sheik/Yink/Roy are really fast/grounded combo characters like in Melee, Lucario/Sonic are floaty like Brawl, etc.

It is kind of charming, but the problem with that is series veterans don't change a whole lot. Nobody would have ever guessed Fludd would be the last new move Mario ever got, or Kirby never getting his slide kick/air puff/Ninja down air, some of the most no-brainer attacks that ended up on other characters.

They need to give Shulk his iconic move “Twink death” and make him old

@markee3738 3 months ago (edited)

3:28 super smash bros crusade does exactly that, plus a ton of other changes that actually make him one of the game's best characters, and it's my favorite interpretation of ganondorf because of that.

I think it would be hilarious if Villager got the ability to use the vaulting pole in smash. Could be side b or fsmash, and could act like Corrin side b in a way. Would take away from a vital part of his kit but still
