Gfriend is actually a hit in Korea back then, quite legendary

I see GFRIEND and I already feel like crying a lot, they marked my adolescence in a way that makes me feel such a huge and comforting nostalgia when I listen to their songs. They are an incredible group that unfortunately disbanded prematurely, but the girls continue to pursue their art as soloists and actresses, and three of them formed the group VIVIZ, which is also worth checking out. Anyway, thanks for that, my heart felt warm when I saw my girls 💗

18:44 Gfriend returned last year to celebrate their 10th anniversary with Season of Memories. They are not currently disbanded; they simply finished their contract, as the leader has stated several times. Two of them are solo artists, one is an actress, and three of them redebuted under another company with the name VIVIZ.

GFRIEND is originally from Source Music which is under HYBE now and the label of Le Sserafim. When Hybe acquired Source Music back in 2020 they also acquired GFRIEND. But then in 2021 Source Music suddenly terminated the contract of their one and only group.

Rough is mega hit back in 2016. With 15 wins in music shows and won many major awards.

You must watch
Gfriend - Sunrise
Gfriend - Me gustas tu
Gfriend - Summer rain
and Gfriend Killing Voice

They’re famous for synchronized dance even in 2x speed. Their songs were once very popular at the time.

GFRIEND KILLING VOICE PLEASE

GFRIEND more please +dance practice they have talent and top synchronized

Gfriend were very successful locally at a time when Kpop was just beginning to branch out beyond Asia. Their numbers might not seem huge compared to today's standards, but they went toe to toe with the huge groups of the time like Twice, with a ton of music show wins.

Before Mago, HYBE bought their company Source Music, one of many acquisitions. It was their last comeback before a sudden announcement that there would be no renewal at the end of their original contract. HYBE were focused on debuting Le Serrafim, and not much attention were going to these acquired girl groups like Gfriend and Fromis_9. 3 of the members went on to redebut successfully as Viviz.

GFRIEND as a whole is an ace because they are all vocalists, can dance like crazy and their synchronization is a chef's kiss. They're even called GODFRIEND on how good they are.

LET'S REACT TO GFRIEND AGAIN!! You must watch the sunrise

gfriend - sunrise
gfriend - summer rain
gfriend - apple

so basically gfriend debuted in 2015 and came from source music (lesserafirm company now) and got into hybe in 2019. fast forward, in 2021, the COMPANY said gfriend members didnt renew their contract but ACTUALLY the COMPANY is the one who terminated their contract which is why they disbanded ( sowon the leader said they just separate not disbanded). the 10 months ago video you've seen is their 10th anniversary special comeback called season of memories and they did the killing voice. gfriend were basically one of the girl group leading 3rd generation, the pillar i can said, when gfriend gets popular by topping charts in early 2016 and winning awards, big companies start releasing hits after hits to compete with them and thats how 2016 becomes the year of 3rd gen and also the beginning of the rise of 3rd gen. Gfriend is loved by koreans, they might not have as many international fans as the groups u know but their fanbase in korea, japan, china, indonesia and malaysia is indeed big. gfriend is the seventeen version of girl group, known as the queen of synchronization and of course vocal queens (u can watch their collab in mama 2016). they won over 100 awards through their career. 3 of the member now is a member of VIVIZ(also popular), while the other 3 are solos. but they still introduced themselves as gfriend too! their mv have storylines just like txt and enhypen. its better to watch it by sequence from their debut to the most recent to understand it. but it all connect to other hybe groups storylines to as they were one of hybe groups before. Gfriend members is known to have many friends in the industry, they were a very close friend with groups like seventeen, astro and twice. I RECOMMEND U GUYS TO WATCH THEIR GUIDE FROM BUDDYCHANNEL to know more.

'Time for the moon night' won best MV and best instrumental awards in 2018. The song also has 10 music show wins. Such a masterpiece

19:40 Gfriend's fandom name is 'Buddy' :)
