When you live in Chongqing, you don't need an indoor gym. The whole city is a gym.

i also noticed that the beds in chinese hotels are always a bit harder than the Western ones, because Chinese people like the harder ones which are good to your back. it's a cultural thing

UK 5 star hotel is look like 3 star hotel in China:face-orange-biting-nails:

The uk 5 star hotel looks like the one in China which costs maybe 200-300 yuan

That spa room is absolutely crazy! It feels like a theme park level attraction!

As a Canadian who's been to China several times, China always wins. I'm so embarrassed of Canada. When we had my hsuband's family here from China, their disbelief on how 3rd world Canada was left me speechless. I knew they would shocked but I was like damn, everything in Canada sucks. Shenzhen blew my mind, like honestly Chonqing is amazing but Shanghai will destroy any self confidence you have as a westerner. We suck here.

as a Chinese I would say even 3 stars hotel in China are much better than the 5 stars hotel in UK or US 😂

In China, all hotel mattresses are firm, regardless if it is a 1 star or 5 star  😂

The UK one is a standard business hotel, the China one has amenities that are not seen in Europe and US and Canada. That is what makes traveling in China is more fun.  The spa is just insane, the big soaking pool inside the hotel room is super nice. The gym has what I need, no complaints.

by looking at the title, I can tell you China hotel will be so much better for sure!! i just stayed in chongqing 5 days 4 night in a boutiq nice hotel which only cost me $200 USD total for 4 nights

The outside world has always had higher standards for China. Taking Michelin restaurants as an example, I am very surprised that many small restaurants with ordinary taste and environment in Hong Kong were awarded Michelin stars. However, in mainland China, Michelin restaurants have high standards and strict requirements in all aspects. Michelin restaurant in China can compared with the ceiling level in western countries.

I never see a swimming pool in the hotel room. Mind blowing.❤5 stars ⭐️ You guys lucky.🍀

That spa was insane

Whereas the west was stuck in comfort calling themselves first world, China was on a mission learning from the West and eventually surpassing the whole world!

I went to chongqing a month ago for a week.
We stayed in Glenview hotel. 70 euros a night in an amazing spacious modern clean room.
The hotel itself has everything you could ask for.
Central location, amazing breakfast, great gym with sauna, a large indoor pool and even a sky lounge . I say it again, 70 euros!

i visited back to China in summer 2024 to see relatives and my family traveled all over China, those hotels were so luxurious and they cost around the same as hotels in the US, its even more luxurious than my own house!

OMG~~ I know China's hotel could be better, but didn't expect that is so FXXing great !

China's hotel is like a wonderland . Lots of fun.

My family is from the UK, my great grandfather ran a medium sized hotel with about 700 rooms. I was able to inherit a lot from my parents and started my own hotel in the USA. I have about 30 years in the business and I'll be perfectly honest here about a trade secret everyone knows who works in this trade. Nice things don't really work well in the West. There I said it, please don't be mad at me. Those changs in the East really take care of their stuff for the most part. Kids and adults in the West trash every room to kingdom come, that probably doesn't work well over there most likely due to some culture they have.
