Guys... welcome to the rabbit hole

where the older marine says our duty is done you can tell Titus is thinking, not yet I'm still alive and only in death does duty end.

At it's core, Warhammer 40K is a tabletop game where you assemble and paint miniatures and play with them on a board or table. But this episode of secret level specifically is based off of the Space Marine 2 video game, which does have co-op

Those weren’t just space Marines. The 3 with Titus ( who is a 2nd company lieutenant) are blade guard veterans. They are some of the greatest warriors the ultra marines have. They all have a couple hundred years of experience. These aren’t soldiers you waste on suicidal missions unless you absolutely have to.

The 40k universe is absolute insanity start to finish.

2:15 - knife. It's a kid dragging a Space Marine dagger. It matches the one he uses at the end to split the demon in half. Might very well be the same one, or they're all fabricated to a similar design.

For games - Space Marine 1 was single player, and then Space Marine 2 (that came out last year) has a campaign that can be played in both single player or 2/3 player co-op, and some extra co-op missions. You could jump straight into Space Marine 2 :D

Titus is the main character of both games, and this secret level episode takes place soon after Space Marine 2 storyline

Plz do Astartes, those were some fan animarions done about Warhammer and the animator got hired to participate in this episode.

That demon actually stopped time, and that priest guy you said 'they didn't need' actually made a barrier against it so the Space Marine were still able to move. But the moment the priest guy got taken down, the marines all got trapped in that time-stopping spell. It's why the demon took him down first. I'm not familiar with Warhammer 40k going into this episode but that's what I understood.

"Grimdark."
Congratulations, you've found the original tropenamer.

Mandatory comment to ask you to react to Bricky's introduction to warhammer 40k and factions videos :D

I always find "wholesome" the fact that Titus wear his crown even in his mind, he know and feel he earn that honor despite everything

so about that chainsaw sound: Space Marines have access to a number of weapons, one of them the chainsword, and it is exactly what it sounds like

The handoff of the chain: "This was meant to be your job Brother".

5:30 those swords and axe they’re using aren’t your ordinary weapons, they’re of a special group called Power Weapons. They’re capable of emitting an energy field capable of destroying molecular bonds. They can cut through most armor with ease. They’re rare, difficult to create and maintain, considered relics, and are only given to the most veteran warriors.

The best/worst part here is that those weapons aren’t even activated, there’s no blue light covering them, they’re just using them as normal tools.

"What could a soul like that be capable of?" Is one of the hardest lines ever.

Welcome to 40k, you will never leave.

Background on the team - our guys are Astartes, also called Space Marines. They're genetically-modified cyborgs, chosen as children normally aged 10-14 and put through brutal, normally lethal trials, followed by surgical implantation of new organs. By the end of the process a Space Marine is normally between seven and eight feet tall, can deadlift around 2,800 lbs without their armour, and, oh yeah, live for an undetermined length of time. We don't know of any Astartes ever dying of old age; the oldest Astartes we know of who's still walking and talking is Lord Commander Dante, who is 1,500 years old. There are older marines, but they're entombed in walking life support systems called Dreadnoughts, and spend most of their time in stasis.

The sockets you saw on the sergeant's back at the beginning are one of the new organs they receive, the black carapace. It provides connection points for the Marine's armour, allowing them to move in bulky power armour as if the armour was part of their body. That's why they were so damn fast in that melee fight.

The metal studs on the foreheads of Metaurus and Titus are called service studs; a silver stud represents fifty years of service, a gold stud represents 100 years. Metaurus and Titus each have four gold studs, meaning they've both served for over four hundred years.

11:03 - She's not super-fast, she's stopping time.

2:14 you guys call it a sword, actually that's a Space Marine Knife. The Space Marines are that massive that their knives are swords to us.
