I really like that splash of neon pink among earthy color✨👌 nice drawing! I really enjoy your sketchbook

This is such a beautiful piece! And it was so relaxing and inspiring to watch you create it

A pastel being softer and less scratchy isn’t a sign of quality. Fillers are usually smoother than pigments and pigments vary a lot. So you might find it common that darker or earth pigments or pigments that are just chunkier chemically in life are not as smooth as cheaper pigments, naturally softer ones or ones mixed with lots of binder.

So to try one or two colours of a brand is not a good indicator of quality. Try similar pigments (not colours as they can be made of any mix of cheaper or other pigments) and similar pigment density and see if they’re scratchy.

Phthalo pigments (cheap) for example are very small and so more soft. Mix them with a cheap white and some filler and you get a lovely bright pretty and soft pastel.

Really enjoyed this video, love your artwork and you’ve made me so excited to get my Jackson’s soft pastels I just ordered! 😍 especially the fluorescent pink! 💕

Enjoyed your video.  I would advise you not to blow the pastel dust....not good for your lungs.  Tap the book on the table and let it fall instead.

Leuke video Marloes! Het ziet er altijd zo gemakkelijk uit bij jou.

Wow~!! Wonderful drawing!!! I enjoyed your video.🥰🥰

Lovely! Did you fix it with anything, as it is staying in your sketchbook?
