it's so weird how people think 18 is "grown." that's still SUPER young and considered a child to older adults. you're not even fully developed or fully matured yet. it's sickening.

@bettyxboopx 2 years ago

When grown men tell a budding, 16 year year old they are “mature for their age“ it’s usually referencing their body not their mind😢

@shivangigautam1112 2 years ago

Today's beauty standards:- teens trying to be adults and adults trying to look younger than their age

@CharlotteLaim 2 years ago

I feel like the baddie aesthetic got worse when (specifically) kylie jenner got a bbl, lip fillers and all these cosmetic procedures when she was only 16! A baby! I cant believe this is normalized.

@angelsky6574 2 years ago

The baddie aesthetic is aging the youth 🤷🏾‍♀️

And you know what happens whenever you mention this? They get mad. Call you “jealous”, say they can do whatever they want. Insult you and your appearance, but never genuinely discuss the true topic.

I’m so glad I was 16 when I was 16… not worried about looking a certain way to meet societies beauty standards. I feel bad for the teenage girls of today really

@kphoria1009 2 years ago (edited)

even if a 16 yr old looks 25, that doesn’t give you the green light to project your sexuality onto them. you should ALWAYS ask someone’s age before you pursue them. people use this “girls look so grown nowadays” line as an excuse when they get called out for catcalling and pursuing children.

I miss the cringey Nickelodeon red carpets with horribly cheesy styling…

Im 18 and im honestly so glad that I had a horrible awkward phase, it really builds character

This is so extremely sad. I'm Malu's age. I remember her come-up, seeing all these insta baddies and wishing I looked like them, wondering why I didn't have curves as a TWELVE year old😭. I can't imagine being a teen in 2023 w these tiktok beauty standards. Girls, focus on happiness. Make something for yourself. Take care of your health, skin, hair & nails and leave the rest to develop naturally!

6:40 Hold up. Did you just say SIXTEEN ? She looks 24, you’re telling me she’s MY age?

@Miito._.4 2 years ago

As a teenager I’m embarrassed for these teenagers trying to look older 💀

@someonethatisw2364 2 years ago

Love how she always has to clarify exactly what she means with a statement she makes bc cancel culture is crazy you will be fighting for your life fr 😭

@aphr0d 2 years ago

honestly it feels so sinister and predatory that society is aging these young girls and slowly taking away all the things they enjoy. Might not be any particular person/group’s fault, but we are just letting it happen as a society. No more toys for kids but they get unlimited and unrestricted internet access and we get surprised when they stumble across more adult things and want to emulate that.

@itebogengnkoliswa4280 2 years ago

These underage girls are busy acting like they're grown adults, and it's creepy as hell. Even here in South Africa, it's slowly but surely becoming a trend. I pray that they should not fall victim to this nonsense.

@ZDoreTyr 2 years ago

Please tag someone to do the “male” version this 😭 it’s so weird to me how dudes nowadays are 17 looking 32 and in “natural bodybuilding” competitions

@IshtarNike 2 years ago

It shouldn't be such a hard line for people to walk. Kids are always going to try to grow up too fast. They're going to explore their sexuality in awkward ways. But the issue is that back in the day they didn't have access to put it all up online all day every day with incredibly revealing clothing, sexy dances, and being exposed to literally all sorts of people. Some of them are indirectly making money off it I'm sure (sponsorships). It's definitely too much too fast. You can be progressive and sex positive without endorsing that kind of adultification.

The parents need to step up and start adding parental controls. When I played playstation all day and night my parents put limits on it. It didn't kill me and it didn't make me go off the rails. It's possible to set boundaries without abusing or traumatising your kids, man.

Teen years are short . Adult years are way longer. You have the rest of your life to be an adult after 20 …enjoy being a kid now. Idk why young girls are rushing to be women so bad. Im 23 and im glad i enjoyed my youthful teenage yrs. Acne, weird clothes, braces, and lots of fun without alcohol or sex
