Fun Fact: In BW2, there exists code for a battle that could only be activated by a Black and White save file. The game would then take your team from that save file and initiate a fight against it. That’s right - you were supposed to fight yourself.
I wish they kept it in, that would’ve been peak.

My headcanon is that Steven just genuinely doesn't know where the space center is and is just trying his best

This is so much funnier when you're watching this in the future and you know Lysander didn't die, he's just alive in za

"Sir why are you leaving this random letter in your home instead of sending it?"
Steven: "Don't you understand, the new champion has a habit of barging in people's houses uninvited. He'll definitely see this"

18:56 i don’t think N is a Zoroark, but i 100% think N’s Zoroark has taken his place before to trick people

12:04 oh the irony of watching this in late 2025.

The Battle Chateau rant is glorious, I love it. I went inside my first time playing, fought like two trainers, got bored and never returned

For the Battle Chateau, I got to Grand Duke rank for a simple reason: The Battle Chateau was the best grinding spot in XY. Once you reach the rank of Marquis/Marchioness, you can start battling the Furisode girls. All they have on their teams are Audino. Combine this with the Gold Writ of Invitation (plus Amulet Coin and O-powers) and any of the Writs of Challenge and you have an infinite money and experience grinding spot. With the Silver Writ of Invitation, the trainers respawn every minute, and each battle will probably take you a minute just going through the loading animations. There's also some elderly trainers that give lots of cash when you beat them, making getting all your money back that you spent on the Writs much quicker. There are additional Furisode girls once you reach Duke/Duchess that are 10 levels higher than the Marquis/Marchioness ones. While not as immediately quick as ORAS Blissey Bases, it's still a good way to grind back in Gen 6.

Michael: "Lysandre. That dude is dead."

"Pokémon Legends: Z-A": A FOOLISH MISCALCULATION!!

"To the 13% of you who said you did this, are you masochists?!"
No I was broke and wanted money for clothes 😂

There actually is one thing that is unlocked by the Clair and Lance battle; Clair’s pokegear number. Once you do this battle, you can talk to her during mornings for her number for rematches.

so about that lysandre thing...

Dear Mikey, I am 35 and your joke about the tangled wires, punched me squarely in the mortality bone so thank you very much lol

2:05 How am I just now learning that Steven's Aggron is designed to punish the box legends?
- Thunder has 100% accuracy in rain. Electric is Super effective against Water (Kyogre gets Drizzle)
- Solarbeam requires no charge in sunlight. Grass is Super effective against Ground (Groudon gets Drought)

Edit: I never said it was GOOD at punishing them

11:47 this aged excellently lmfao

14:15 But after you beat Silver at Mt. Moon, he literally says “I know! I should train at Dragon’s Den! See ya!” to signal that something important might happen there…

The battle chateau is meant to be done with progression of the game I believe. I remember going back all the time throughout my first playthrough when x and y came out to get levels and money, but also because my friends and I competed to see who could rank up the fastest

11:41 well legends z-a kinda ruins that assumption

Going into the Battle Chateau for the first time in the post game is so funny because Viola just goes "Haha hey, look! It's that random kid that JUST beat my gym haha!" meanwhile you're the champion who just stopped a mass extinction event.
