What’s it really like living in Cannes when the French Riviera is home? 🇫🇷 Come along for a day with us, including an honest beach chat about the things we love and the parts that aren’t quite so dreamy.
Our walk into the city takes an unexpected turn when we discover the sailing regatta is on. We stop to admire the boats, enjoy the views and browse the nautical stalls before heading into town.
There’s a visit to my favourite health shop, Naturalia, a little shop in the old town selling nothing but tinned fish, and a plant purchase I couldn’t walk past! I’ve wanted a rubber plant since spotting a beautiful one in a hotel a couple of weeks ago, so this one comes home with us.
Back at our apartment, I pot up my new plant and make sweet potato tortilla chips with a pea, cottage cheese and avocado dip. A lovely homemade snack to finish a day of walking, browsing and enjoying where we live.

Just got back from grocery shopping and of course you came along. LoL
Thought of you while at Costco.
Bought a large bag of frozen Atlantic salmon and a large bag of frozen Mediterranean vegetables.
Thought it was a good idea of yours. It's hard to buy fresh for just one person..
I'll have that in the freezer and perhaps have twice a week.
When you were explaining the holiday season as being lonely there. Thought I share that is a thing I miss about Lyon is what a wonderful time it was during December there. The city was magical on December 5th through the 8th with the Fete des lumiere..
Every window had little colored votive candle inches window ledge.
Not to mention the food.
