In Brazil, people can make temporary credit cards (it's legal there). They are scamming adobe by using the 7-day-trial forever. Adobe can't charge infinite temporary credit cards.

If you are a person locked in the yearly plan and paying monthly and want to cancel, listen up! You can contact the customer support and say that you have recently acquired the full suite from a company you work for and do not need their services. Ask if they can waive the cancelation fee for this time. Be nice to the customer support and they'll probably will lift it off. Atleast they did it for me.

I don't even use Adobe. But I feel like I can pirate it just out of spite.

There is actually a suuuuuuuuper easy way to cancel subscriptions. All it takes is for users to call their bank and tell them to blacklist the transfer. That way Adobe does not receive the money and by contract they have to close the subscription service to you. They might ask you to pay a small difference if you went over the payment date. But, the worse part for them is that if more people blacklist their transfers, they might actually have more issues with future transfers. Banks tend to see these blocked transfers as a red flag for scamming actions.

I love how Canva stepped in and just started dumping on both Adobe and Microsoft by letting people do a lot with the free version but also having a paid tier. I’m definitely waiting for them to do the same for video editing

I once canceled my Adobe subscription and several months later they suddenly decided to charge my card again even tho I had no active subscription for months and they refused to refund me. So yes, I feel no guilt to pirate Adobe.

13:17 I'm the living example of this. I started with a pirated version, and now, many years later, I'm paying for the genuine product. But raising the price to €69,90 is one thing. Raising it again to €89,90 (!) after only a couple of years was a reason for me to cancel. I dropped the full plan for Photoshop-only, and for everything else I'm using free programs (vector > Affinity, video > Resolve, etc)
