"You fire me and I'll make more noise than two skeletons making love in a tin coffin" How the hell was he able to deliver this line with a straight face?

They blew their budget on shoulder pads, hair mousse and wisecracking robots. There was no money left over hire a fight choreographer.

"My God! R.O.T.O.R has the strength to open double doors! What the Hell have we created?" LOL

You gotta admit, this movie did have a pretty neat soundtrack for a "low budget scifi flick".

Cold Iron, Dr. Steel, crazy robot, tone whiplash - it's like a Metal Gear Solid adaptation.

I'd buy this movie for a dollar.

Or less.

Just discovered you today. After watching 3 reviews my jaws are sore from laughing. I've struck gold.

"How is the robot the best actor in the movie?" LMAO

The police bot was originially supposed to be in MST3000, but quit due to low pay...

8:40 I close my eyes and instead of watching a bad 80s movie, I feel like I'm watching a good 80s anime.

7:14 The Stop Motion in Robot Chicken Looks State of the Art Compared to This!

It's like watching a terrible Brock Sampson prequel film...love it.

5:00 ladies and gentlemen mr. Knockoff Conway Twitty

18:35 Desert Eagle 18:36 Colt python gotta love the continuity guy, must've been the same guy who worked on Gunmen with Lambert and Peebles.

A good chunk of this movie was filmed in Lake Dallas and the surrounding area. One scene was filmed  on my grandparents property. I remember watching this movie back in the 80s as a kid and seeing the area outside my grandparents house and it freaked me the hell out (remember i was young). Went to my grandparents house later that summer and my grandfather told me all about the film crew outside the house filming. The daylight climax scene near the end where rotor crashes off his bike and into a ditch was the part filmed outside their house. This movie gave me a fear of robots in movies for about 3-4 years till I realized robots were cool and then saw Robocop.

Look out for the unofficial sequel ROTOM: A Police robot possessed by a mischevious electric Pokemon that has him get caught by a 10-year-old boy.

LOL......... the title card with robocop and the terminator looking with question marks.......... oh lord even the title cards rule here  :))

Apparently the best part of R.O.T.O.R. is the 80's cyberpunk theme movie poster.
and as Brandon pointed out, even that idea was stolen from the Mad Max movie poster.

Steele looks like a bodybuilder Rogue from X-Men.

You know I'm surprised Brandon hasn't gotten to the 'Maniac Cop' film series and the first two films star B-movie big shot Bruce Campbell for heaven's sake.
