"just gonna watch one more before bed"
4 episodes later we're in Papua New Guinea

Hard core man, sick for two days and you still carry all the camera gear and survive all while taking malaria pills . You are the original, no one will ever top you my friend you are a legend!

Local 1:  What's that white guy doing in your uncle Josef's back yard?
Local2:  He's high on betelnut playing a harmonica

On behalf of my fellow Papua New Guineans🇵🇬
I would like to thank you for traveling all this way to one of the many remote places in my country. PNG is home to many different species of plants and animals. Survival in our rainforests is not for the faint hearted. And I'm proud to see that you've done this without any proper equipment/gear and that you're ok. Thank you for sharing your experience with PNG to the world 😇🇵🇬❤️

To be the first white man allowed to participate in their ceremony is epic beyond words. History, legend, legacy.

12:05 How is Les Stroud eating a cooked banana right now and he's like "not gonna say its good but it'll do" when 40 minutes ago I watched this mans eat a witchetty grub like "😩😩 the flavor is immaculately peanutty, its delicious 😫😫 "

Les uploads all of these episodes for us to watch for free and there are people crying in the comments about ads.. typical.

Everybody gangsta until two Hewa stroll up with machetes.

I just want to acknowledge how cool it is that there are people in this world who graciously welcome Les into their village and give him a necklace of nuts! For some reason a free hand made necklace of nuts just really strikes me as the epitome of human kindness, generosity, and love.

Who else grew up up watching this and making shelters in the living room

That butane lighter reveal was hilarious. That was a close one haha.

Not only does Les have the balls to go into these remote locations and legitimately survive on his own unlike some, he got high in the process for good measure. Balls. Of. Steel.

You know it's insane to survive there the Les even brings food with him.

Whenever I see Les surviving in some kind of tropical forest, I think of these inspirational words from the legendary artist Randy Newman: "It's a jungle out there!"

It's incredible that you got honored by the locals for your survival. This was an amazing episode!

"There's an active farm with vegetable's that I could steal" highly nervous chuckle

That part gets me every time

" instructions, how to survive. EXCELLENT." LMAO

Bro, first time a white man's had that honor? That's bloody amazing dude, not many people get to do a first. Your honor and respect to their culture has paved the way for future anthropologists or even lost survivors like yourself, out of all the things you've done I hope your proud of this one.

"Maybe that will cure my diarrhea... some freshly cooked rat."

I miss this show. It was the best survival show period.
