I truly wish all my discussions at the family dinners, office parties could be like this. No boring small talk, just the hair metal topics that matter.

These discussions are awesome. Love the interaction, the banter, and the perspectives. So fun.

Steelheart's "I'll Never Let You Go" has one of the greatest vocals; "Don't Close Your Eyes" is an all-time classic; and "When I Look Into Your Eyes" is by far my favorite Firehouse tune. The memories.

"Angel Eyes" I'll Never Let You Go" was the first song I heard on the radio after my first daughter was born. It went straight into my soul. I will defend it it to my death.

1- I hate kissing you goodbye - TUFF. 2- I Wanna Be With You - Pretty Boy Floyd. Are my top 2

"I believe in you" is way more worthy of this list than "honestly"

Loving this channel, there’s not too many people I know that can go on such a deep dive of this genre.

This is a fantastic topic. I don't know if I've ever heard this discussed before. Thanks for the video.

"When I Look in to Your Eyes" by Firehouse was my wedding song lol

Before I watch, here are the ones that come immediately to mind for me; Save the Weak-Britny Fox which feels too contrived, I Won't Forget You-Poison and The World of You and I/Lonely from Stryper In God We Trust (I struggled with all the early Stryper ballads just because the vocals were so syrupy sweet)

Love Can Make You Blind? I'll Never Let You Go? Beth? Kick him out!

More than words is an excellent song, without being poppy. Great songwriting, lovely melody, etc. Sophisticated vocal harmonies, that is, instead of the simple unison singing found in typical pop, the song uses intricate Everly Brothers-style harmonies. Gary Cherone and Nuno Bettencourt’s voices interweave beautifully! In fact the song is the ultimate flex: a rock band stripping away the distortion to prove that guitar technique, well-arranged chords progression and pure vocal chemistry hit harder than any pop production ever could. While most 1991 hits relied on heavy synthesizers or bombastic drums, Extreme achieved a #1 hit with nothing but one guitar and two voices.
