I would rather used the money towards a worthy cause rather than having an elaborate funeral that the deceased will never see or hear.

Give me my flowers 💐 while I can smell them. This is so wasteful

I respect what each family chooses to do . My mom has always said to us, give me my flowers while l am alive and can smell them, tell me you love 💘 me and appreciate me while I am alive and can hear it. Send me some money 💰 now while l can use it. She says when l am dead and gone whatever you choose to do at that time would not mean anything to me.  I will not  hear your wonderful words , l cannot smell  the lovely  roses . So l do all l can for my mom now.

Some people don't seem to realize funerals are for the LIVING, not the dead. They are intended to comfort the living.

Why didn't they spend that kind of money helping him get his life together.

I attended a funeral in New York once where the family spent tens of thousands of dollars to put on a show. The sad thing is that the deceased was the only daughter who was an alcoholic and the black sheep of the family. When she needed help to go into rehab the family wanted nothing to do with her they felt she was a disgrace to the family so they never financed her rehab treatment. When she passed everyone was crying and spent a ton of money 💰 for a show funeral,  paid for an opera singer at the church, a violinist, most expensive casket, horse drawn carriage,  then there was a Reception after the burial at an expensive Catering hall where 500 guests was served in fine china. After this experience it opened my eyes to what really matters in life if only they assisted her when she needed it she could have still been alive.

People give love, flowers, gifts while we are here appreciate the person while breathing.

I want my love while I'm alive

“For what profits a man if he gains the whole world but loses his own soul”.

NAKED YOU CAME, NAKED YOU'LL LEAVE...I FIND THAT THIS IS JUST A BIG SHOW, AND LOTS OF DEBT!!! PRAY PPL. CREMATION ALL THE WAY.

My son knows what I want: a simple cremation and ashes in standard little box. Take it to a certain beach, open the box and toss my ashes into the waves. Play a certain song. I'll leave enough money for cremation and for he and his family to stay overnight in a quaint hotel in that town. That's it. The rest of my money (not much) is theirs to spend as they please. I hope they go to Italy and remember that I was there, once, and felt like I was in heaven. 💓

As long as they can afford it.. Bcuz funerals r for the living not the dead.. It's for the family to get closure.. Atleast that's my opinion

Thats a guys who definitely lives his mom...may she RIP

Easton, you are an angel. You make every mother proud.

I don’t believe in giving thousands of dollars to the funeral home employees. The dead person doesn’t benefit from the money. You’re just helping the funeral employees to send their kids to college, buy a new and bigger house, go on expensive vacations.

Easton, a tear from your face is all the make up your Mum needs. 💓

Funerals arent for the deceased, they are coping mechanisms for the those they left behind!

Funerals shouldn't cost the earth.

The son burying his mother is a sweetheart. GOD bless him for going all out for her.

What an unbelievable and total waste of money.  Have a $3000 funeral and donate the rest to charity or give it back to your family.  Do people really think that the love and respect you show the deceased depends on how much money you spend?  How incredibly sad.
