I really enjoyed the Emily route, was a nice change of pace seeing nicole being the more reasonable one.

the only person who could PROBABLY fix her is like 18 therapists

Nicole is such an interesting character, she's pure evil, but sometimes you can't bring yourself to hate her. It's kind of like being manipulated, you know you should hate her for the things she does, but sometimes the circumstances make it seem like her actions are justified, making the player like her even when she doesn't deserve that.

In Jecka we trust

Encountering a girl like nicole in highschool would have been terrifying.

I’m really enjoying this game right now! Just one caveat, I kind of interpreted Nicole’s dad blaming her was due him also being a sociopathic narcissist rather than Nicole abusing him since many of the endings in which she offs herself alludes to or parallels her fathers death.

It's funny cause in the alternate route where you reject Ari outright, she gets the whole school to hate Nicole and then blackmails her into kissing her for her own sense of self satisfaction. God bless this game and it's wholesome characters.

I wish you wouldve mentioned the route where Nicole hangs out with Emily and completely goes off the deep end.

Its very clear that Jecka is the only thing keeping Nicole in check.

Nicole is irredeemably horrible. It says a lot of how horrible everybody else in the game is that she sometimes accidentally finds herself in the right.

Nicole is like the joker
"I went crazy, and I'm smart enough to realise it"

Nicole is like female teenage Cartman.

Guys be seeing the most psychotic, narcissistic, sociopathic girl and go, “Yeah, I can fix her.”

The vast majority of people are not inherently good or evil. People simply want the most pleasure for the least sacrifice and will work towards that end based on the rules of society they have to work with. That last part is REALLY important. Nicole is a product of the rules of the society she lives in. We never meet her BEFORE the father commits suicide and blames her. She is surrounded on all sides by terrible people which is interestingly set in a middle/upper middle-class neighborhood showing a failed society can be anywhere.

Ari is by far my favorite character in the game, and I think she deserved the world. She was masochistically, suicidally in love with Nicole.

I think focusing on what Nicole does wrong misses the point, the moral focus of the story is how children who do fucked up things usually do so due to a fucked up life. Narcissism, Sociopathy, and similar personality disorders are almost always the result of childhood trauma. And the intro establishes that her outlook on life changes drastically due during at around the time Class of ‘09 picks up.

I think something worth mentioning ia Nicole really seems to care about Jecka against all odds. Even though she says in one part that she thinks Jecka's cool but wouldn't go out her way to hang out with her, if you make Jecka mad at you during the second game, you will get a scene of Jecka smoking by the school when the school counselor approaches and tries to make conversation (Which Jecka has stated she hates but can't do nothing about since he'd snitch), so Nicole loudly insults Jeffrery where the teacher can hear so she'll be send to counseling for the rest of the year at that same time of day. When Jecka asks why did she do it, she says because now Jecka will be able to smoke alone in peace. Meaning she cares enough to put up with the counselor for her.

I would never want to fix Nicole tbh

the fact Nicole being nice to everyone is a 'bad ending' for her, is jaw dropping for me

nicole, emily, jecka, ari, basically all of them became yuri icons in the community instantly, the girls were just thristy for nuclear waste toxic yuri
