As always, a really great video! The thumbnail game is going strong I see 😊 birds of prey coming close on outings are always a cool experience. Still haven’t heard a peregrine whooshing by, but I’ve been told you definitely hear them clearly on a hunt! 😊

Another great video.  You've got waders sorted by the looks of it.  Good news - along with your Whitethroats you can add a new species to your day list. 2.04-2.18 shows a young Cetti's Warbler (or two).  Note the uniform dark brown upperparts and fanned tail compared to the longer tailed, paler more variably brown Whitethroats. Your scruffy Stonechat is a moulting male - note the dark head and white mark on the neck.  Understandable to think juvenile, but they will be streakier at this time of year.  Birds are hard work and you never stop learning.

Another amazing video mate! i remember my first close fly by with a peregrine chasing pigeons they are so loud when they whizz past you, i though the red arrows flew over first time i heard it 😂

Your ID seemed pretty spot on to me.  You didn't name the tern at 12.09 which was a Common Tern-red bill with black tip as opposed to the larger Sandwich Tern which has a black bill with a yellow tip.  I have the Collins guide to Birds of Britain and Europe on my phone-it is a one off price of £15 for the app but really useful in the field, has a huge amount of information on it including recordings of calls and song.

Well, it’s not easy for us landlubbers to spot waterbirds, let alone get to know them well. If there aren’t any large bodies of water nearby, you simply don’t get much chance to practise. And when I do find myself by the sea, I forget to practise because I’m too busy soaking up all the beauty of the landscape and the birdlife😄
At least you can go back home and check the footage to identify the birds. I on the other hand have by then forgotten what the bird looked like and have to rely on my notes🤓

It's so much more difficult to ID birds that you're not familiar with.

Keep it up, identification whether by sight or sound improves every outing. Having said that after 50 odd years of birding, I still get caught out. It's all part of the fun and in these days of new fangled 'doitall' cameras and those 'appy' things on telephones not joined to the wall with cables means you can have the record of the bird to look up later or show someone. In my day I had to wait over a week to get my photos back from Boots or Truprint to find the bird as either a blurred speck or over exposed, so relied more on my scratchy pencil drawings with a few scribbled, illegible notes alongside, usually incomplete as the bird had disappeared whilst scribbling away. 'All part of the fun'? Hmm, well at 64 I am still out and about all fingers and thumbs fumbling with dozens of buttons on my camera I don't have to put film in but charge up instead! My telephone has a tv in it somewhere and a calculator, both quite useless for my bird spotting....they call it 'Birding' these days, whatever next? Squinting at the camera and telephone screens on a sunny day for blurred photos or 'swiping' for a bird appy thing is so time consuming! But I have my dozens of notebooks and logs full of memories and misidentifications that I often melancholily browse through. I'm glad I kept it up but I leave the photography and video making to those like yourself which I enjoy viewing on this 'Tablet' thing that I'd never get down with a glass of water of any size!  Wildlife is wonderful and a great lifelong interest, always something new. The other evening whilst watching foxes, I saw a muntjac chewing cud, I counted between 33 and 40 chews per ball of cud. I scribbled down some scratchy notes, of course!
