Our Canadian adventure keeps getting bigger!
We leave Lake Louise and head north toward Jasper on the legendary Icefields Parkway, but Mother Nature has other plans. Snow and near whiteout conditions hide much of the incredible scenery we were hoping to see along the way, making the drive an adventure all by itself.
When we finally arrive at Whistlers Campground in Jasper, we discover one little detail we somehow missed… we’re dry camping for FIVE DAYS! 😂 We were completely convinced we had hookups.
From there, it’s time to explore Jasper National Park. We hike the beautiful Valley of the Five Lakes, surrounded by colorful blue-green water and incredible mountain scenery.
That afternoon, we head to the Columbia Icefield, climb aboard one of the massive Ice Explorer vehicles, and ride out onto the Athabasca Glacier.
And just when we think the day is over, there’s one more surprise waiting for us — a walk out onto the Columbia Icefield Skywalk high above the valley.
Snowstorms, unexpected dry camping, turquoise lakes, giant glacier vehicles, walking on ancient ice, and one unforgettable Skywalk — this may truly be Our Most Epic Adventure Yet.
Come along for the ride!

Those ice explorers are so cool, aren’t they? When we were there, the guy told us that there are only about 23 of them in the entire world, and 22 of them are there at the Columbia Icefield! Pretty amazing to get to ride that steep grade in one of those things.
Thanks for taking us back!
Did you work around the Long Beach area?
Beautiful views you've shared.
Seeing you on that Skywalk, made my butt pucker. Ye gads...lol
Stay safe and see ya soon...
