Kobe started calling himself Black Mamba after her assassin name in the movie, so he got it from her.

Fun basketball fact, Kobe's nickname Black Mamba comes directly from Uma's character in this movie, he was a big fan.

Uma Thurman received an Oscar nomination for Pulp Fiction. She’s been A list for decades. And this movie was actually from 2003. Absolutely amazing in every way.

He didn't "miss" - he's an assassin. He flinched just slightly when he realized she was pregnant with his baby.

a cool detail is that Oren tells the bride that she wouldn't last 5 minutes and then their fight actually only lasts 4 minutes and 59 seconds

This is the ultimate “Get back must be had” movie.

Fun Fact: Some people have survived a shot to the head. Especially if shot in the wrong part of the brain.

8:30 There's kids smart enough to ask "why you bleedin" and then there's kids smart enough to NOT ask "why you bleedin"

The exaggerated blood sprays, yells, facial expressions, etc. was all done as a nod to Japanese anime. All intentional and beautifully executed.

Homegirl took them on a tangent from the beginning and then said "yall need to watch the movie" 😂😂

Unfortunately the part in the hospital where the doctor was graping her while comatose, is not far fetched because there unfortunately have been many real stories about women in comas ending up pregnant while still in a coma & some of them finding out when they came out of the coma, and it was from male doctors/nurses or people who pay doctors like in the movie. So yea the shit is sick af!

A sensei IS responsible for the actions of students he/she trains in part.

If you stop trying to guess what is going to happen and watch it, most of your questions answered. i'm just saying.

They slightly hint towards O-Ren and The Bride being friends at one point in time. Their little back and forth. "silly rabbit, Trix are for kids" and the fact that she turned her back when killing O-Ren. It was known as a sign of respect amongst the samurais.

If no one has answered yet, the weapon Gogo was using is a Meteor Hammer, and everything that Gogo did with it are real tactics of using it (like the foot kick) or when she used her neck. It's a way of building momentum which can deliver devastating strikes. It's actually pretty cool watching someone play around with it and how many different maneuvers they can do with it.

About the council meeting scene: That was O-Ren giving the guy an out, let him re-think what he wanted to say before he said it. It's why she's so quick to establish dominance in response, because she had to have known there'd be at least one big-mouth at the table, so she gave him a chance to back down gracefully. He just didn't take it.

"You and I have unfinished business." The Bride. My favourite Get Back Must Be Had movies and action character of all time!! 🗡💛🖤👰🏼‍♂️

@laughingoutloud5742 1 year ago

The yellow and black jumpsuit The Bride wears at The House of Blue Leaves is is the same as Bruce Lee's in Game of Death.
I'm trying really hard not to flood the comments but I honestly have this movie and all the trivia around it memorized. I love it that much 🙃😂👰🏼‍♂️🗡💛🖤

Hattori Hanzo trained BILL...equipped BILL. He was a dealer of death from his swords. He created BILL. Thats why he helped.. he KNEW it was his responsibility. To take no action would be cowardly and bring dishonor to his name
