A Grand Debacle | Road Tripper Stranded by GPS Near The Grand Canyon
Outdoor Disasters
53,177 views
Amber VanHecke set out on a solo road trip through the Southwest to the Grand Canyon with confidence, preparation, and a belief that she could handle anything the road threw at her. But a small decision to save money on gas, followed by a tempting shortcut suggested by her GPS, quietly led her off the pavement and into the Arizona wilderness. As the road vanished, cell service died, and her fuel gauge hit empty, Amber realized she was truly alone. What began as a dream adventure near the Grand Canyon spiraled into a fight for survival. This is the story of how one wrong turn turned deadly serious.
