Sat watching this in Honningsvåg whilst waiting for the Nordkapp pass to open! Really really useful video, wish we’d seen before we got here even though we’re prepared I think we thought “well it’s only -1 not -30 so it’s not radical changes we need to make! Believe me with the wind chill as you know - it’s needed! So with all terrain tyres, kitted out van we’re good…just didn’t anticipate the water tank situation would be such an issue. Anyone coming this way needs to watch this video! Thank you 🙏🏻

For the grey tank smell - I bought our van from a yachtsman and he recommended a bottle of cheap cola emptied in down the drains. It absolutely works!! Gets rid of any smell for us 🙂

You mentioned Thetford, Is that where you're from? We were from North Walsham not far from Cromer in Norfolk.. We moved here in the North West of Spain, La Coruna in 2023.. Never looked back.. So beautiful here and so much to see and places to visit.. That's our plan from next year and go from there further afield..

Wind & door issues - get some cut down wood planks that you can place between the door and the van.  It holds it open.  I use pine, which is soft so absorbs some of the door engery.
