Before building Gioia Group, Vincenzo Ferrieri seemed destined for a career in finance.
After graduating from Bocconi University and gaining initial experience in investment banking and private equity, in 2009 he changed direction and opened the first Cioccolati Italiani in Milan with his family.
From that first store began a journey that led to expansion in Italy and abroad and the creation of Gioia Group, a food retail "basket company" that today brings together Cioccolati Italiani, Bun Burgers, and Futura Pizzeria Romana, as well as the new JB Burger project developed with Joe Bastianich.
In this episode of The Founder's Journey, Vincenzo shares what it means to scale a format, build and manage multiple brands, work as a family, and continue to innovate after more than 15 years in food retail.
A conversation about growth, scalability, and what it means to transform a single store into a group.
