These cricketers are amateur park players so not a true representation of the professional cricketer.

This was a great way to teach people unfamiliar with the game. Not confusing them with all the rules and primarily letting them have fun. You can see by the end they're getting more into it and their understanding is starting to deepen.

I’ve never heard anyone call a six a ‘sixer’! But then I’ve only been watching cricket for 50+ years!

Shane warne has a good video showing spin techniques

Cricket is a beaitiful, sophisticated game. Baseball less so!

My late father was passionate about Cricket his whole life and being a rebellious son I loathed the very idea. However in his last couple of years we watched Cricket on the TV together and I grew to understand just why it meant so much to him. This was a nice gentle introduction to playing but there are so many more rules. On any given summers day our village greens become home to amateur Cricket, players of all ages and abilities, watched by family, friends and those who can't play themselves.

Cricket (test match cricket) that lasts 5 days is a game of chess played on a large field.

Would've been better on a proper pitch!

Hitting in Baseball need power and hitting in cricket needs technique.
pitching in baseball means throwing which everyone can but bowling in cricket is an Art

The famous England V Australia pre war match tactic was to hit the side of the batsman it was called Bodyline. The far.er out of Babe the pig film played the bowler.

I'm not a cricketer, but generally the fast bowlers don't bring their fingers across the seam, they want the seam to remain vertical. The ball swings in the air because they shine one side of the ball and leave the other side rough. This creates more drag on the rough side of the ball.

You should look into the infamous bodyline series, in the 1930s England toured Australia and caused a diplomatic incident with their unsportsmanlike aggressive bowling

The bowler doesn't throw! He has to bowl the ball with a straight arm. The bloke with the bit of wood in his hands is called a batsman. 😂 Sadly this is nothing like a baseball player facing proper cricketers. These guys are very much amateurs. There isn't even a pitch. The bit in between the stumps is rolled until it's almost like concrete. It's a full toss if it doesn't bounce. Yes if the ball hits the wicket on a delivery then it's out regardless of bouncing or not.

King Boomer Following on from the England versus Argentina soccer game, it’s nice to see that some one in the Rugby Union world has got a sense of humour and scheduled Argentina to play England today in the National stadium! This will be a not to be missed rugby game so get the popcorn ready and don’t miss this one! If you think the soccer version was rough wait until you watch this one!!!

The cricket bat is wider than a baseball bat, and it is flat. So that looks as if it will be easier to hit the ball. However, the ball bounces before you hot it, so that introduces significant variability.

@danielfinnigan9520 2 months ago

Wait until you see what swing bowling is. And reverse swing.

@aglloyd5951 2 months ago

The batsmen is fair game, The bowler can legally pitch it short so it bounces high and it can hit the batsmen. It's their job to hit it or get out the way of it. In Test cricket, they play with a red ball and after the ball has had a few Overs they shine it up on one side so the bowler can swing it- depending on weather conditions as well.
