In 1941, twelve dollars and fifty cents bought a fountain pen so far ahead of its time that people lined up for months to get one, and eighty years later it still writes better than most pens costing ten times as much. This video counts down the seven fountain pens that actually mattered, with no price limit at all, from an 1884 pen that invented the mechanism every fountain pen still uses today, to a wartime design that Eisenhower used to sign the German surrender. The greatest fountain pen ever made was never about the price tag, it was about whether someone built it to last.

Thank you for listening and sharing. It is very nice of you ❤😊
The Parker 51 on top as it should be. The Lamy 2000 as you said, not luxury, not overpricing, just a pen that broke the moulds. There is no past to that pen. It looks modern today and so it will in the future.
The first Waterman Ideal, so important. A milestone!.
Pilot and Pelikan won their post. No serious talk without them.
Sheaffer is maybe the brand everyone forgets to mention.
I couldn't agree more on the brands.
Which ones from the last thirty years will be next?
I don't think, as much as I love modern pens, that they could meet those standards.
The twsbi eco could be, but I haven't tried it.
The waterman Carene?
I think that Oriental manufacturers will come up with something original, but no one can reach as high as the pens on this list.
