US folks voted Jesus the 13th greatest American in a poll a few years ago.🤣

If you are told your country is the greatest and the best in everything, there no room for improvement which is very convenient for the people who run the country.

I sometimes wonder how US-Americans manage to get up every day, get themselves dressed and DRIVE to work, spend hours working then drive back home AND remember to feed themselves. It's astounding.

I was an international student from Germany at an American University. I made a list of stupid questions Americans asked me during my stay. The complete list is forever gone because I have lost the phone it was on but there are a few I will never forget (I saved the worst one for the end).

1. I was driving when my friend asked me if it was hard getting used to drive in the States. Of course, there are a few rules that are different and everything is just way bigger (streets, cars, lanes) but overall, it’s pretty much the same. He was confused and said he meant driving on the right side lmfao. He was shocked to learn that only a handful of countries drive on the left side. He was taught in school that the US was the only country driving on the right side, lol.

2. A classmate asked me if I knew what Pizza was. I said “girl, I’m from Germany. I have to get into my car, drive five hours and then I’m in Italy.” She didn’t know what I was hinting at because she was convinced that Pizza was an American invention from NYC.

3. One of the girls living in my dorm knocked on my door saying “Hey, I have a stupid question. Is France a country?”

4. After answering the question above, we got into a talk about cultures and stuff. I went back to her and her roommates’ room and we sat down and all talked together. I don’t even remember anymore but they asked me something that I couldn’t answer because I’m not a “native German” because both my parents are immigrants. Their American minds could somehow not comprehend that people immigrate to countries that are not the States 😂 my parents are from former Yugoslavia. Three different countries/nationalities involved so not to overheat their minds, I just reduced it to Croatia and told them “my parents are from Croatia but came to Germany and then had me”. They couldn’t understand that. France-girl asked me “So what part of Germany is Croatia?”. GIRL WHAT 😮

5. I was also telling them about how the political system in Germany worked and we compared it to the US-American system. I had also explained the difference between Europe and the EU. Suddenly, while talking about the Chancellor, France-girl kinda jumps up and says “wait, I thought the Pope was the President of Europe!” - well. What can I say.

Sorry for the long ass comment but I hope y’all enjoyed my wildest moments with Muricans.

Our regular check in to see how close Ryan is to a breakdown

Some years ago an Icelandic volcano erupted and all North Atlantic flights were cancelled.
An American woman trying to return home from London was told her plane was cancelled. Her response was "Does that include First Class".
Perhaps she thought the back part of the plane was detachable.

Street café around Barcelona. A young American woman near our table complained audibly to her friend that the menu had the description of the items first in Spanish, and then a little smaller in English underneath. She said something like, "Ugh .. if I'd wanted to order in Spanish, I would have gone to Puerto Rico again".

Yes, maybe that would have been a good idea 🙄

German Woman here (59)...
It never ceases to amaze me the arrogance, complacency and ignorance with which Americans go through life! And as tourists they are really hard to bear!
I've often been lectured by Americans about the history of my own country - and guess what: everything, but really EVERYTHING was complete nonsense...

Once Ophrah Winfrey wanted to get into the Hermes shop in Paris after closing time and was denied. She accused the staff of being racist (because of course :7 ) but she didn't realise that 1. closing time is closing time, even for our own President and 2. She isn't famous in France so why would we recognise her and open the door for her after hours ?

An American once asked me why British people speak an American language rather than a European one.

I once worked at a university library. One day, an obnoxious American woman stormed to my counter and said - "I'm an American from Boston, I demand to be served first." My response with a smirk - "Well, madam, I'm Greek from Patra. Now what? Back of the line." The look on her face was priceless. Lol.

One time an American student in Austria saw a concert of Robbie Williams on tv in a bar. He was very upset because there were 375.000 people there. He explained that all the 375.000 people at the concert were wrong because they acted like Robbie Williams was a star. Obviously he is not a star if no one in the US knows him. I tried to explain that Robbie Williams is a star in Europe and obviously if there are 370.000 people paying for tickets they want to see him. It fell on deaf ears. He was really angry and called all his fans stupid for being fans of somebody absolutly unpopular. It was surreal.

13:34 She thinks kids are born with English as their default language and that any other language has to be learned. She didn't believe OP when they told her that Estonian kids have Estonian as their default language, rather than English

Talking about food and its origins: saw an American on TikTok being outraged that British Chinese takeaways aren’t authentically Chinese American

Visited family in America, at a bbq with their neighbors on hearing I am European the host proudly proclaimed 'I'll never get a passport - I'm a PATRIOT!' no words.....

I was recently in Brazil boarding a plane back to the uk, while I waiting to board 4 Americans said they should board first as they are veterans. The lady at the desk thanked them for their service and told them to get the back of the line.

Asgard is a mythological place... like Heaven, but with better parties.

My ex's parents (Australian) did a driving tour of Europe. She told me when they went to visit Vienna they kept getting lost. They couldn't find any signs for Vienna, but whilst looking kept passing through this very nice town called, Wien.

One Easter holiday when I was a child we visited family in LA (first and only time I've been to the Americas), one day we visited the Hoover dam & the guide person there asked us why we weren't in school. We had to explain school holidays are at different times in and across Europe.

I've also met Americans visiting Britain and think we should treat them like VIPs and give them special treatment because, quote "we [the Americans] saved your butts in WW2."
Well firstly, no you didn't... Our Navy and Air forces did that and by the time the Americans joined the war, the threat of cross-channel invasion had passed as Germany decided it wasn't going to work and invaded the Soviet Union instead so was busy getting their butts kicked in Eastern Europe.
And secondly, you weren't alive in WW2, so YOU had precisely ZERO do do with that conflict, now sod off.

My sister had a summer job at a restaurant in Nova Scotia, Canada and an American tourist came in in August asking where the nearest ski hill was.  My sisters reply was "Six months that way."
