Don't you worry at all about emoting. My mother passed away last August after a few years battle with vascular dementia. I was her primary caretaker for the last two years of her life. I know what kinds of feelings can come to you when something like this bass triggers so many memories.

People like Linda remind us what actually matters in life. Thanks for sharing a little of her story with us — you’re honoring her legacy by amplifying her inspiring act of love. Every kid deserves a Linda who is willing to invest in their dreams.

It's a lovely story  Levon. See, she's made your audience happy 😊 - She's a gift that goes on giving. What a wondeful testament to her life.

I lost my old account and I'm rewatching some videos from some creators, for the second time you made me cry talking about her. Pretty incredible person you had in your life. Celebrate her. And thank you for your videos.

Flowers bloom every spring for people who stop and do a thing which makes another's heart sing. RIP Linda.

Linda sounded like the loveliest woman ever. It's beautiful to have had someone like that in your life. Never apologize for emoting; it's beautiful that someone was so special to you that it makes you emotional in the first place.

My special instrument is a Fender T Bucket acoustic my dad got me. It was 2015, and I was super early into my own musical journey, and it was around the time where new gear and taking trips to Sam Ash filled me with such wonder. We walked in and he told me to just look around for something, no matter the cost. I picked up the Fender acoustic and bonded with it immediately. He bought it for me that day, and I just remember being so excited to get home and play it. It's not a super rare or special acoustic; laminate wood, 300 bucks at the time, and now stickerbombed to hell. I have several other nice and more expensive instruments, but the acoustic my dear father got me will always remain priceless to me

Hey nice job, I'm loving your channel since I discovered it a few weeks ago. Something I'll add my mam passed away in August and your videos are a great help to me during my grieving. I've never felt more relaxed ever watching YouTube so thank you so much. It truly is a beautiful channel well done

"I bet Levon would like to play some music too..." I'd say that particular Fender bass is priceless...

Us musicians have that one special instrument. Mine is my 1994 Gibson SG-X that my dad bought me after I worked with him delivering furniture. Fell on hard times when I was married, pawned it, my ex-father in law was kind enough to get it out of pawn for me. I was so very grateful. Never letting this guy go, I’ll be buried with it.

Dang it. You shouldn't make an old man cry like that.

Seriously, I am so sorry for your loss. Ms. Wheeldon seems to have been a wonderful, wonderful person.

I like the bass, too!

Bless you Levon. She sounds like a wonderful Lady.

man, thanks for teaching. what you give me free, i find priceless

Bro, all the emotions. People like Linda are what still give me hope for humanity. Awesome story and vid.

Now your videos are helping me to, after many years of procrastinating, finish the restoration of my first electric guitar - the one my late father helped me find. I feel guilty I didn't manage to do it in time for him to see it.

I'm extremely sorry for  your loss

as a fellow 90s kid, i'm thoroughly enjoying your period correct references.

Awesome work, as always. You not only show the restoration of the guitar, you turn it into a story. You give the instrument character, and it really adds a lot.

That Brass nut  seems to have done a lot, the frets and stuff probably didn't hurt. 😉 It kicks ass!

If I remember correctly, the four little screws at the top of the bridge plate are for the string mutes. Foam rubber stuck on bent spring steel.

Love this video, Levon. As a Fender player personally, this was nice to have playing as I finally adjusted the neck on my '06 Jazz Bass - the first 'nice' guitar I ever bought myself, and the only one of my nice instruments I've never parted with. This one and my Peavey acoustic are my lifers.

My Dad bought me the Peavey; picked it up after hearing it advertised on a radio buy-and-sell. I'd been playing bass for six months and he decided it was time I try guitar as well. Unfortunately both my Peavey and and my parents have fallen on hard times - their substance issues led to the end of my relationship with them - but I'll always love them both and one day I hope I can get the Peavey back into playing shape as a tribute to the times when my Dad was still himself.

Thank you for sharing Linda's light with us. As Canadian legends Propagandhi wrote regarding the indescribable loss of our truly kindred spirits - without love, breathing is just the ticking of an unwinding clock counting down the time it takes to comprehend the sheer magnitude of every single precious breath. We are richer in life through having forged special bonds with special people.

Cheers.
