My favorite thing about this is you NEVER know what Josh is going to say. Keeps us on our toes

Smoked Gouda on a burger is creamy and has a subtle bacon hint from the smoke

@jostauff 10 months ago

Sounds like this needs to be a food feud episode.

Definitely need something of a burger tournament with these ideas put against one another. Pick 8 cheeses and make 1 or 2 versions of what you think the best burger for that cheese is.

A mushroom and swiss burger is a true weakness of mine. It's my favorite.

Shout out to a fellow sufferer of asymmetrical astigmatism. Eyeglasses 4 life!

Never in my life would I think a bald gargoyle like cat would be an argument for what makes a cheeseburger a cheeseburger

Josh should fly, 100%

I agree with Nicole. The cheese must be melted on the patty to be a cheese burger. There is a difference between a cheese burger and a burger with cheese.

Josh...you absolutely have to do the skydiving & have him on to cook.
100% content gold, and you will love it.

Just here to represent the asymmetrical astigmatism and "glasses only" gang lol ...not enough love for us.

Medium cheddar is so much bedder. 😁

I have tried dozens of different cheeses on a burger- themed burgers are a more early 2000s thing, I get it. American takes the cake with a standard burger with average accoutrements (L,T,O, mayo, etc.). As a Western New Yorker, it’s gotta have hot meat sauce on it also but I digress… Remember the days when the cheese was a direct compliment to the theme of the burger? Mozzarella with red sauce and basil? Queso fresco with pico and chilies? Blue cheese and bacon with caramelized onions? Heck, I had a “British” burger once that had Brie and roasted tomato on an English muffin once! Context is everything, enjoy whatever you enjoy ❤

The best cheese for a burger is whatever you like best. I tend to go for most cheeses that melt. My mood changes, too.

I'm a steak house burger guy.
I'm happy for the smash burger lovers, but we're walking different paths

Merkts sharp cheddar spread goes on as a paste and turns semi-soup while eating the burger. It’s perfect.

My current burger obsession is one a restaurant called an Irish burger, and I've remade it at home a ridiculous amount of times: potato bun, normal-thick ribeye patty, bacon, Guinness-caramelized onions, "pub sauce," and Irish cheddar. So good.
