I met Ralph about 9 years at Motor City [Detroit] Comic Con. He was here with William Zabka and this was right before Cobra Kai became a show. Now - I am disabled, severely, I have a brittle bone disorder so I'm in a wheelchair and I look very different. I'm used to being made fun of looked at everywhere I go, but Ralph (And Billy Zabka) were the kindest people I've ever met. I ended up talking to Ralph as he was leaving for the day but he stopped, had a good ten minute chat...and then Zabka and him signed a Karate Kid poster for me and we snapped some photos. I'll never forget it.
Cut to two years later, I see William Zabka will be there again, so I go and as I pass by his booth...I hear "KING SEAN". Mr. Zabka saw me and cut his line off to call me up, gave me a hug and said 'It's been too long." He remembered me. We snapped another photo, signed a Cobra Kai poster...it was so genuine and heartfelt. I didn't feel pity, I felt seen and just treated like a kind person talking to another kind person.
I love seeing this show and how everyone at Mythical act. Great job, Josh and gang. Wax on. Wax off.
This man truly earned his level head and youthful energy that so many of us could only dream of...
Great line, great interview (as always)
