Gordon Ramsay joins me for lunch at one of my favourite restaurants in London: Camille in Borough Market. What could possibly go wrong??

To celebrate the return of Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars on Apple TV - the series I host and Gordon executive produces (so, essentially, he’s my boss) - I decided to take him somewhere I absolutely love!

The only problem? This is Gordon Ramsay. He knows a thing or two about restaurants, he’s not exactly known for keeping his opinions to himself, and I’ve just told him this is one of my favourite places to eat in London. So yes, I’m slightly nervous.

Camille is a brilliant little French-inspired bistro tucked beside Borough Market, led by chef Elliot Hashtroudi. The food takes its cues from regional France: rustic, seasonal, produce-led cooking, an ever-changing specials board and plenty of the bits of animals that other restaurants tend to avoid. Elliot previously cooked at St John and Padella before taking the opening Camille.

So, what happens when one of the world’s most famous chefs eats at one of my favourite London restaurants?

There’s only one way to find out.

📍 CAMILLE
2–3 Stoney Street, Borough Market, London SE1 9AA

📺 Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars is streaming on Apple TV. The series follows some of the world’s most ambitious chefs as they chase, retain or risk losing Michelin Stars, with unprecedented access to the Michelin Guide and its famously anonymous inspectors.
