Small-town Americana where everyone acts like an LA stoner, set in the 90's, where all the music is "bleeding edge" from the 80's, and all the characters are simultaneously losers and popular, criminals and innocent, and oppressed and liberated all at once, and it's all produced by an ""indie"" studio, led by the daughter of the 5th richest man on the planet, who pays for 10/10 reviews from corrupt review sites and engage in AAA access-media. "Calamitous" does not even begin to describe it.
you can't convince me the writers weren't losers in highschool. Like this has to be the worse timed teenage rebellion game with how low reading and math scores have gotten and now you want to do a story trying to make the reasonable dad the bad guy.
Mauler's crashouts on the characters' attitudes, and their insistence on derailing Cassandra's life path, feels so bloody vindicating... especially around this stage of my life...
