The thing that annoys me about the live critiques is the fact that they never show the full thing and then the production notes dont tell us either

I HATE that all Abby gives Nia are ‘black’ dances. From working girl to color purple, she only gives her racist solo or a blues solo. I understand that that’s her culture but damn give the girl a damn lyrical without the blues.

Nia's solos constantly having racial themes just feels like another way of othering her

It always annoyed me when abby refused to give critiques to maddie because maddie is definitely the type of dancer that wants to learn and grow as much as possible. She said herself that she wanted to work extremely hard to get better and wanted to learn as much as possible. Maddie legit could’ve lived up to all the hype she had and then some had with a teacher that wanted her to grow rather then keep her stagnant. She should’ve been on kalanis level technically and it annoys me that she wasn’t because she had the work ethic to get there.

The fact that Jojo had to stand there and hear people bully her to her face and yet she’s still defending Abby to this day is wild to me!

“Abby treats my kids well because I’m always on her side”- maybe Abby should behave like a fucking adult and be professional regardless of whether the parents agree with her or not.

abby is so obsessed with acro lmao. whenever someone is flexible in their back she just gives them acro no matter how good they are

Do wanna mention that Abby's idea for Nia's music career was making her a blues singer. No shade on the genre, but if you're trying to market to kids that's not exactly the move.

I 100% agree on your stance with Kalani. You can tell she was never given quality choreography unless she was competing alone or after Maddie left. Her “save me” solo and her solo Alexa did showed that. Kalani was head and shoulders above the other girls at Abby’s, she was literally a prima ballerina and took 8+ hours of ballet since she was little. I think Kira (even tho I didn’t like her) was always right about Kalani being better, and once she was at Abby’s for a long time and not at her home studio her technique dipped. I wish they actually showed them working with Molly Long, Alexa, and other choreographers more (a lot of the groups were choreographed by other people, not Abby. Ex. Stomp the yard)

Kelly and Christy would have called out the jojo pros and cons list

My brother was a professional dancer, now owns a children’s dance studio, and he’s always joked that dancers love to perform Lyrical, but audience members are bored watching Lyrical!

The utter disrespect and disgusting attitude and behaviour Jill Melissa and sometimes kira does to nia and holly should be talked about bc there’s even a part about them talking about how “inappropriate” nias music video is when the girl is covered nothing is wrong and it’s all FOR A TEENAGE girl and they say kendals video is so wholesome and it’s a army setting with her stepping on boys so wholesome mhm

You know the day is good when you see Brad has released a new video

"I'm nia now apparently lol" me in the mirror having arguments with people from last week

i do feel bad for jojo that she was put in such a vulnerable position, but she herself has said multiple times that it was HEAVILY edited. she was actually crying happily, because she got her ALDC jacket; but the producers obviously couldn't show that she wasn't insulted by anything the girls said.

I am always so impressed by Mackenzie in these group dances since she is a leftie and has to keep up with girls much older than her and also doing the entire routine on the right which is their dominant leg! Would be curious to see how a routine would look if they did all their turns and leaps on their left side for once 👀

Never clicked so fast!! (Jojo did say she cried when given the jacket, not when they were critiquing) ❤

I don’t think she ever wanted nia to
Pursue anything is bc she was jealous that nia could achieve all the things Abby offered to others by herself bc holly knows marketing the other moms we’re dependent on Abby and her ways but holly takes charge

Apparently according to Kira, kilani's best is contemporary not lyrical and that's why she never wins with Abby because she always gives her lyrical than contemporary.

I hate how they act like Kalani isn’t incredibly talented 😭😭😭
