HAPPY PRIDE 🎉

A gay watching legally blonde for the first time. An angel had gotten its wings truly

Not him clocking that the perm can't be washed 😭

Legal Eagle did a review of this movie from a lawyer's perspective. Regarding her application: "yeah, don't do a video essay like that, but she graduated with a 4.0 and got 179 on the LSAT? She's getting into Harvard. They literally don't care what your major was."

Fun Fact: Reece Witherspoon is a genius IRL. She started a book publishing reading club where she'd keep track of the analytics. When a book became a hit in the book club, she'd contact the author and buy the movie rights and even possibly have the author write the script. This way, she'd be guaranteed that any movie she produced had an audience and was a winner.

You are the only male reactor I've watched who was immediately nervous about the professor wanting to see Elle alone. Every woman saw that coming a mile away, but (aside from you) every male reactor I've seen was shocked when it turned creepy.

12:38 actually, she and emmet were not meant to end up together because the writers wanted to break the stereotype that every girl and guy pairing have to end up together. But the high ups demanded the two be a thing, so last minute at the end they have the little caption that they get together

As a closeted gay guy who secretly watches movies like Legally Blonde, and The Devil Wears Prada whenever I'm feeling down, I can't tell you enough how happy this made me feel. All your side comments and reactions are exactly what i have in my head as I silently watch these movies in my room. This was so much fun to watch. You got yourself a new subscriber...

The most iconic part for me is when Warner goes "You got into Harvard Law?" And Ell says all condescending "what, like it's hard??" Not knowing at that stage that Warner's dad had to PAY MONEY FOR HIM TO GET IN!!!!! Elle is smarter than Warner.

"He's 30". What's funny is the actor for Warner is actually two years younger than Reese Witherspoon

To prepare for her role as Elle Woods, Reese Witherspoon spent two weeks studying the behavior of sorority girls, as she did not wish to portray a stereotypical airhead sorority image. She states on the DVD commentary that they were all very kind and polite, and she enjoyed her time with them. She also observed women shopping from the café at Neiman Marcus, and attended law school for a day.

The creepy professor is actually gay irl, which is kind of funny they made him a creep in the movie.

Something that a lot of people miss: when Warner asks about the costume, Elle pointedly does not throw Vivian under the bus, and just says she did it on her own.

It's Vivian fault and she's Warners fiance, but she STILL didn't tell on her.

Can’t believe we found the only gay man of the century that hadn’t seen Legally blonde but also jajaj love the “is that Jennifer Coolidge?”

I LIVE for the fact you clocked the perm before everyone.
The gays are always right.

To be fair, I've heard lawyers say her getting into Harvard with that CV is not unrealistic at all. They are looking for diversity and challenging mindsets. She clearly was smart, with test scores and all that, and was involved in many passion projects too. You don't have to have law experience before applying there

16:12 I didn't really process this scene until I was older, but this is SO manipulative! It's played like he doesn't believe in her/doesn't think she's smart, which I do think is true sadly, but knowing that he was waitlisted adds another layer to it. I think he's feeling threatened & upset that she's proven herself to be capable & intelligent by getting in on her own merits - which he couldn’t. He doesn't want her going after one of the internship positions out of fear that he'll lose out to her, so he's trying to knock her down in hopes that she'll withdraw. Not to mention the fact that, as the engaged person, he's allowing them to be close & has a hand on her hip while saying this. It's all gross manipulation tactics. & it's an interesting indicator of what their relationship was really like when not viewed through Elle's lense

Reese said she had it put in her contract that she got to keep every pair of shoes from that movie. Queeeeeen!! Hahaha

fun fact she got all her wardrobe to herself when she finished the movies bc it was on her contract!!! so she a smart fabbbb girl

I'm sure you know this by now, but the group of men finding Elle attractive was not the only reason she got in. I also wasn't 100% sure how college applications went in the U.S. since I'm not American, but the colleges there really value diversity in majors, which is why the group of men mentioned them never haing a fashion major before. Elle also had a 4.0 GPA, an almost perfect score on her LSAT test and was the president of a sorority, all of which is extremely beneficial to her chances of getting in. To be honest, to me it seemed like the men didn't stare at the screen after her video ended because they liked it, but because they were confused by it. Again, not criticizing you, just offering my perspective.
