If you want to make a better radorb character, go for a combination of light cleric, stars druid and storm sorcerer (for the mobility) : first 8 levels should lead to 5 cleric / 2 druid / 1 sorcerer (take first on respec for CON save proficiency) then up to 9 cleric.
You combine the most possible radorb sources with spirit guardians + light domain aoe channel (2-3 charges per short rest) + cone aoe breath (on bonus action every turn) + tempestuous magic for mobility to fly around the battlefield and hit even more targets with spirit guardians (TM can be refreshed each turn with guiding bolt for instance for which you have extra charges thanks to star druid).
You can go full radorb set (including luminous gloves and coruscation ring) to build stacks even faster or keep the buff on heal items if you want a bit more support for the group (mass healing word on bonus action instead of the dragon breath to buff allies and activate tempestuous magic), depending on situation or play style of the rest of the group. Important best in slot boots for this build : boots of striding from Minthara, to get immune to prone while concentrating. With 16 con, con save proficiency and star druid dragon form, you will never lose concentration on your spirit guardians.
When you reach cleric 9, you also unlock destructive wave for the ultimate radiant aoe + potential prone.
You can stack more DC gear in act 2 and 3 (cloak, head gear, staff, shield of Ketheric...) to spam mass control in the form of upcast command (that doesn't compete with concentration).
This build is both efficient and frugal regarding spell consumption. It has enough resources to be useful for several fights in a raw and hold its ground well with a team of short rest oriented characters even though it's a full caster.
If you want a light cleric that has free concentration for a twinned haste, you can rely on Light cleric's second biggest strength after radiant damage : fire damage. It happens to have the best domain level 2 & 3 fire spells to become a single target + aoe blaster : scorching ray and fireball.
In that case, you go Light cleric 6 / Fire draconic Sorcerer 6 : cleric provides all offensive and DC spells you need (scorching ray, fireball, command, hold person...) + the usual buffs, sorcerer all the non DC spells (which means you can dump charisma completely) : shield, magic missile, ritual spells, misty step, haste, counterspell...
You'll play this cleric as a radorb/support cleric through act 1, but as soon as you reach act 2 and get the Hat of Fire Acuity, you can switch to a fire oriented playstyle.
You can pair the callous glow ring + coruscation glow ring to increase your damage output on your fire spells, combined with reverb stacks from the spineshudder amulet on scorching rays, and keep the luminous armor on to spread some decent amount of radorb on your rays and fireballs.
You'll essentially play this character as a wisdom fire sorcerer that spams scorching ray to build up arcane acuity then makes everything explode with fireball.
Stacking attack roll gear to land scorching ray is a priority, staff of arcane blessing does wonders in that department, allowing you to give +2d4 to spell attack on your bless spell.
But on top of that, you'll be way more tanky than the average sorcerer, can provide with the usual on heal support for the first part of the game when it makes the most impact, get tons of buffs and utility, deflect attacks for you or your allies with warding flare.
Haste + quicken Metamagic lets you burst the battlefield if you so wish, as soon as you land your quickened scorching rays, everything else comes online : you can cast 2 fireballs, or two extended command to incapacitate 10 enemies for 2 rounds...
Late game, Markoheshkir + Helldusk armor send this build on orbit in the sense that your character can unleash fire power equivalent to a meteorite crash.
Compared to the other build, this one is more burst damage oriented which means you can easily use up all of your juice in one or two fights and is better suited for long rest oriented party compositions.
