Yes is a great band because they make 5 musicians sound like 10. It's pure adventure rock. 🎉

70s Yes were the greatest modern musicians ever especially Live yet they produced the worst film/Audio recordings. I hope that you've heard the studio version already. The nuances, details and intricacy of Yes music are extremely important and marvelous

The custom edit utilizes a enhanced remastered audio mix from original Yessongs film footage in 72.

There are better videos of this song 😮

Definitely not as good as the studio version. Doesn't have the clarity and nuances -- and no Bill Bruford on drums!!! But still pretty good - and Gentle Giant doesn't even come close to Yes' mastery! Tho i wish this video was shot as well as the GG video & sound.

YES performed "Close To The Edge," live during 72-73 world tour, captured on debut live record, "Yessongs," that came out in 73, this also was YES debut tour with Alan White, then replaced Bill Bruford, who recorded "Close To The Edge," before leaving to join King Crimson. I had never experienced music like YES before and in decades later, I would come to appreciate more how complex the music was and more so that they managed to perform "Close To The Edge," live to that degree, new extended and virtuosic instrumental sections are added with solos from live performance. What made "Close To The Edge," special was an integral, well orchestrated piece, one that demonstrated musicians could aspire quality of progressive rock classical compositions in a whole new era in the 70's.
