My late mother was in her 80's....and a master at the guilt trip. Would start about how the scammer was disappointing their family....and would keep going. Bet a few quit scamming after calling her.

It’s best to avoid engaging with scammers on the phone, especially when considering the fact that your voice can easily be cloned with AI today.

Banks will not text you except for alerts YOU set up. Never text back or follow any instructions from a text or an email. GO to the physical bank or check your account on line at their website! Geez, how many times do people need to hear this.

I budgeted for a new car last year, paid for it in Cash. I am probably a rare walk-in the Toyota Dearlership, give them a cashier check, drive out with the car, no strings attached ( and believe me they tried to hustle, but I said kept saying "no": no payments, no maintenance programs, no warranties, no add-ons, JUST THE CAR. THANK YOU & BYE). Since I bought that car I have received SO MANY SCAM MAIL/TEXTS, and some of that stuff even looks like it legitimately comes from Toyota, its insane how official some of that stuff looks! Funny enough even when I get a legit call from Toyota my phone registers it as a scammer lol.

This is so necessary and helpful right now. Thank you! 🙏 My husband and I had to make a rule: no responding to social media ads. Or sales funnels. Or get rich slow schemes. That last one is tough for me. Next, I’ll have to block YouTube if I’m not careful. Dho! 😂

We often worry about the elderly being scanned. However, this younger generation, Gen Z, will be the most scammed generation in history. After all they saw it on TikTok, so it must be good.

My dad has been here 40 years as well and he still has a strong hispanic accent. It's weird because it doesn't sound like an accent to me but nobody can ever understand (especially on the phone) and I always have to talk for him.

I used to answer spam calls saying “this is Donald Trump” and spam text messages as “Please don’t tell anyone I received a large inheritance of pet gerbils on Isle de Morte”.
