This is the exact same thing I have done in my retirement. I really enjoy being out in my shop and building projects for my wife the gardener, family, and friends

I'm really happy I came across your video. I'm 58 and have been thinking about retiring early at 62. I was watching a video of a guy making some small planters and thought, that's what I need to do in retirement! I have done some simple woodworking on the past, but have not done anything for many many years. I've decided to start now by planning and slowly building up a woodworking shop and hone my skill at the same time. By the time I retire, I should be all set to dive right in.

I believe you're never too old to learn a new skill, invest in another hobby or income stream. You got yourself a new subscriber.....

Красавчик. Мне очень близка ваша философия. Моё уважение и признание за то, что вы существуете и несёте это в массы. Самых лучших вам творческих изысканий на вашем пути 👍.

The "Grim Reaper", he's really obsessed with everything being final. What a bummer!

Hello Mr.WoodBandit I’ll be turning 71 here not too far off I got into woodworking in January 2025 and  like you’re saying it keeps my mind and hands busy I’m still adding a few tools as I go about it nothing real expensive but at my age it doesn’t afford me in the time aspect to chase a deal for used tools I’ve been retired from my public job since 2017 woodworking for me is a Blessing I really enjoy Thanks for the video I liked and subscribed ,stay safe, God Bless

Way to go man!  You've got what you need to "make a thing".  You picked an incredible "hobby", well worth your time and effort!!!
I'll be watching out for what comes out of your shop... 66carpenter

Good job bro. Thanks for sharing 🎉🎉🎉

Nice shop neighbor!

Get off the couch!!! Yes! Yes! Yes! :)

Great info, thanks.  I keep thinking about doing woodworking, and was doing the math as you went through your fine lineup, and even at the moderate level it's way more money than I can justify just for a hobby for me.  My outlook may change someday, however.

I will retire December 31. I have most of what I need but not everything. This will be my full-time hobby. I cannot sit around the rest of my life.
